Diaper Wishes and Baby Powder Dreams Chapter 4

Raven awoke at the flash.  He was back in his house again, but he woke up happy and smiling.  It felt quite odd to wake up as happy and full of energy as he was.  It was like he got back some of his youth overnight.  Extra energy or not, he was probably going to need it today.  Lotus had asked for his help around the house on a few things and he had agreed.  So aafter having breakfast and a quick shower, he got himself ready with a pair of blue jeans and one of his more casual shirts that he wore for work around the house.  You don't want anything fancy that you might get torn or stained now do you?  Although he did put on a little bit of cologne.  You gotta smell nice when you go do a favor at a pretty lady's house right?  Putting on a hat and getting in his car, he headed on across town.  In no time at all there he was again, in her driveway and knocking on the door.

As Lotus opened the door she heard "You called for a handy man?" he sad with a wink.  Lotus gave a laugh and let him into the house "Oh my yes please come in." "Would you like a cup of coffee or anything before we begin?" she asked politely. "I'd like a cup of coffee since you are offering he said with a nod."  As she was pouring the cup of coffee for him she started explaining what she needed help with. "I have a few shelves I wish to hang in the second bedroom and I could use some help taking some boxes down from the attic." he said as he took the cup and followed her down to the second bedroom.  "I want to put up my photo albums up in here on the shelves instead of just having them laying around." she said as she gestured to the walls where the shelving units were to go.  In fact the pieces for them were laying on the carpet where they needed to go.  "If you got a ladder, for me to stand on, I got my tools in the car and I can have those up in no time."  he said to her as he gestured to his car. "Oh sure, the ladder is in the hall closet. Let me get that while you get your tools." she said to him.  As he turned to go to the car, he could sense her eyes were on him.  As he pulled them from the car ad walkd in the house, she tossed him a few knowing glances.  Either she was into him or the cologne was working magic.

A little while later the sound of work could be heard in the bedroom.  It wasn't long before the shelves were hung up and Raven stepped back to admire his own handiwork.  He may have been small, foxes tended to be on the shorter side as far as the other species go, but he could certainly do work around the house with ease.  As he looked he felt a warm paw rest on his shoulder.  He looked back and there was a kind smile on the wolfess standing there directly behind him.  It wasn't the cologne and Raven knew it.  She was starting to feel something for the fox.  Her scent was a dead giveaway on that.  "Satisfied with the job in here?" he asked her, giving her a wink in the process.  Lotus gave off a little giggle, she felt almost giddy as she looked down at the white fox in front of her.  He was cute, she liked cute, and to top it off, he was very helpful and handy.  Not a bad combination of qualities in that small package.  "It looks perfect, just how I pictured the look to be in here." she said while bending down to give the fox a kiss on the cheek.  Raven's tail could barely hide the excitement he felt.  He had to hold it back from fluttering all about.  "I have lunch waiting for us out in the living room, would you care to join me?" she said as she walked out of the room, returning the wink while gesturing with her finger for him to "follow along".  

Out in the living room was nothing like he expected for lunch.  Not the food, no that was just a couple sandwiches with chips and a drink, but what was different was how the both of them sat side by side, talking small talk like a couple high schools kids in a crush.  The atmosphere was electric and both of them were clearly feeling it.  It seemed that they had finished eating far too soon and it was time for him to get back to the chores at hand.  And so while she cleaned up the living room from lunch, he went and started getting the boxes down from the attic.  The work here was nothing as easy as the work hanging shelves was.  It was hot outside and attics are nothing but ways to trap heat and today was no exception.  Combined with the dust and the heavy lifting of bulky and awkward objects down a ladder and you get the picture.  By the time he was done, the fox was sweating pretty badly, his paws grey with dirt and dust.  Lotus was very kind, bringing him glasses of iced tea to help him stave off the heat as he worked.  It took all afternoon to finally clear all the boxes that the wolf wanted out of the attic.  But when that last box was moved out and into the 2nd bedroom, Raven let out a long sigh of relief and smiled as he closed the attic access.  

"All done with that job!" he said as he rounded the corner to the master bedroom.  There was Lotus, laying on her tummy on the bed, watching tv.  She looked cute and the fox couldn't hide his affection, his tail was wagging about as she gave a smile to him. "Why don't you go wash up and I will put the finishing touches on dinner." she said as she got up, giving the fox's hair a tossle before heading past him into the kitchen.  Raven freshened up and went to go eat, fidning lotus sitting on the couch with two plates and the tv on.  "I thought we could watch a movie together as we eat." "Unless you have some place you have to be." she said to him as she sat down on the couch, patting the seat beside her for the fox to join her. "I got no where I need to be." he said as he sat down and joined her.  As the movie played and dinner was finished, the two gradually pulled closer to each other until they were both leaning against the other.  As the movie credits began to play, Raven looked over at Lotus and was about to say "That was a good movie." when he saw her looking at him.  There was a smile on her face and a loving look in her eyes.  The fox leaned forward and kissed Lotus.  Lotus was surprised, not that he did kiss her, no she was waiting for that, but that he did it right then. They both melted into the embrace and as they parted Lotus was the first to speak.  With a blush on her cheeks she said "I am so thankful for all your help."  Raven just looked at her and replied "Not a problem in the world." "Would..Would you like to join me for dinner tomorrow night?" "If you are free that is." he managed to finally spit out.  "Are you asking me out on a date?" said the wolf with a smile. Raven nodded and as he nodded she said "I would love to go on a date with you." "Excellent Lotus!" "How about tomorrow night at 7 I pick you up here?" "I'll be waiting for you and ready." she said with a giggle.

The two decided to call it a night at that point and Raven headed on back home.  His mind couldn't think of anything when he finally got there.  He was just thinking about the night and what he was going to do for tomorrow night.  The fox was in cloud nine.  Across town, Lotus was doing the same.  Thinking over in her head that things were coming along quite nicely between her and her new friend Raven.  The thoughts brought a smile to her face as she slipped into bed that night, dreaming about a cute white fox kissing her in the glow of the tv screen.  Raven fell asleep of the exact same thing.

When Raven woke up again it was dark out except for the glow of the nightlight in the corner.  He stretched a bit but as he stretched he thought he could hear the distant crying of a baby somewhere.  But where was that sound coming from? Did he leave the tv on or was an ad playing on youtube or something?  But what was strange was the crying only seemed to get louder as the time went on.  He decided not worry about it and began to close his eyes when he heard the door open and looked to see mama standing there quickly coming over to him. Wait...he was back again! There wasn't any flash like there was before.  The crying wasn't from a tv or anything.  It was coming from him!  He was crying like a baby.  As she picked him up in her warm arms, it became apparent to him why he was crying, his tummy rumbled loudly as she held and rocked him. "Aww whats wrong honey bunny huh?" "why is my little kit crying huh?" "Is a little one all hungry?" she said as she sat down in the glider and began to rock him softly.  No matter how much he tried to stop it, Raven couldn't stop himself from crying.  This was pure instinct and nothing else was going to stop it.  Then he felt something rubbery touch his lips and they opened and began to suckle on it.  As the warm milk began to flow, his crying stopped almost immediately.  Now all that could be heard was a light slurping sound and the gentle rocking of the glider chair as he was rocked and fed by his mommy.

"Thats better now isn't it huh my little pumpkin?" she said as she held the babe.  She smiled down on him and gently brushed his headfur out of the way.  "Good thing we have these bottles so its as comfy for you as it is for mama." "you have some sharp teeth my little foxy kit." she said in a whisper, letting him fill his tummy with every gulp.  As his suckling slowed she gently lifted him to her shoulder and rubbed his back, the fox kit burping as a result.  If his adult mind were in control, his cheeks would be a shade of pink right now at how embarrassing it would have been to be not only bottle fed but then burped right after.  Yet it did feel nice and comforting too.  He felt nice and warm and full.  It was like being wrapped up by a blanket straight from the dryer after finishing thanksgiving dinner.  It was bliss.  Lotus felt her little baby nuzzle her cheek, his head resting on her shoulder, a soft yerfing sound coming from him as he cuddled close.  She held him in her arms, one paw gently holding him under his padded bottom, the other rubbing his back as she rocked.  Lotus began to softly sing a lullabye to the young fox.  For all that Raven tried to fight to keep his wits about him, he was too relaxed and comfortable now to care.  All he wanted to do was to show his affection for how he felt, that little nuzzle and yerf was all controlled by him that time.  Dream or real, it didn't matter now.  As he listened to Lotus singing he began to drift off into dreamland.  The last thing he heard was Lotus whispering in his ear "I will always love you my little one."
