Sexual Conquest By Draconicon The world of Meitos is at war. Years ago, the great tribes lived in peace. The great tribes, the Horse, the Orc, the Orca and Dolphin, the Eagle and Owl and Phoenix, the Fox, the Wolf, and even the dragons were content to live their lives without causing trouble for the others. War was for the minor tribes, for the small ones without the culture and the power of the great ones. Then, everything changed when the Dragon tribe descended from the mountains. Wielding great magics from the back of a massive lizard army, they waged war upon the Fox and Wolf tribes in the lowlands between their mountains. Despite a desperate resistance on the part of the Wolf tribe, the conclusion was inevitable, and both tribes fell under the power of the Dragons. The Foxes were integrated as a slave tribe, and the Wolves were punished for their resistance. Those that were captured were transformed into hulking, scaly brutes, to serve as shock troops for the Dragon army. Others, ragged survivors that had managed to escape during the aftermath of the attack, slipped away to form resistance bands, mercenaries that would fight for those that would pay their fees. A deadly enemy, but one that was near dead itself, and the Dragons ignored them. In the face of such aggression, other tribes mobilized. The tribes of the northeast, the Eagle and the Owl, joined together in an Avian Alliance. Under pressure to join, the Phoenix tribe reluctantly allowed itself to be annexed, knowing that their magic would be required to push back the mages of the new Dragon Empire. An army was made, and battle lines were drawn as the dragons and their scaly army descended from the mountains again, this time pouring across the valley between the Alliance’s hills and the great mountains. With their magical advantage taken away, the Dragon forces were pushed back across the valley by Phoenix mage and Eagle soldier. Harried across the fields and back to the stones, the Dragons retreated to their border camp, Ujarrak. Pursued to their very doorstep by the Alliance, the Dragons pulled off their last surprise. As more than a thousand birds rushed imperial positions, Dragon magic lifted the rock around them, forming great walls that held the Alliance troops within. As soon as they were encased and entrapped, firestorms burned all those within to ash. The remaining survivors fled back across the fields, making camp on the edge of the hilly region to keep watch on the citadel that Ujarrak had become. Years passed, and the two sides rebuilt their forces while diplomats spread to the other powers in hopes of building further alliances to aid them in war. The Horse Clans refused to join in the war. The fourteen clans were split on many things, but they all agreed that they would not take part in any war. With massive numbers dwarfing either of the combatants, neither side were able to wring a concession from them. The Cetacean Confederation, the united Dolphin and Orca tribes, was nearly as large a tribe as the Empire or Alliance, but only offered teasing aid at the cost of humiliation from both sides. Rich and far reaching, the Confederation only gave what it felt like, and no more. As for the Orc Tribes, it was impossible to reach any of them. What few ambassadors reached them were enslaved on contact, and never seen again. The solution to the stalemate was found in the minor tribes that were spread throughout Meitos. Bears, otters, jaguars, and others that lived in the smaller lands, in places where the larger tribes considered little more than closets. They were small, but enough of them on either side could tip the balance to a point where either Empire or Alliance might finally defeat their opponents. Hedonistic Dragons and opportunistic Owls flooded the lands around them, looking for any weakness to exploit that they could use to bring the tribes into their folds. Neither side offered independence, and to many tribes, the choice seemed to be no choice at all. Either absolute submission to the Dragons with some pleasure in the mix, or enforced ‘protection’ from the Alliance with a few small freedoms allowed. For all the preachings of the Alliance, the choice was nowhere near as cut and dried as they wished. And here, the conquest of Meitos begins. Not through diplomacy, not through economics, but through might, magic, and sex.
