Origin of Lavious by High Score It was many years ago, during the time of my grandfather's rule. My grandfather was but a young colt who had left Gallop Prime in search for a better life. The life he had...was not one worth having... With him, he carried the knowledge of his home planet. The technology, the advancement, everything he had learned. When he arried to Planet Equin, my grandfather shared his vast knowledge with only few as to not startle them. Among this few were the parents of Celestia and Luna. One day, he settled down in an open area some hundreds miles south of Canterlot. He met a young filly, a pegasus, whom he described to be the most beautiful pony he had ever laid eyes upon. They built a home to which they had a family in. Soon, a few joined and built homes of their own, creating a village which grew fast. My grandsfather died of a heart attack once he reached above 400 years old, but my dad continued in his hoof steps. He studied much of Equin's resources with some of the finest scholars the world could ever offer. During the time of Nightmare Moon's reign and defeat, my dad, along with several of his fellow scholars, went on the hunt for something of value. He came to a cave which held a crystal inside. This crystal had strange, magnetic powers as if floated, but seemed only visible to him. This made him greatly curious and made him want to take it for further study. When he brought it back home to study, his vision shifted to another alicorn like him. She was from Gallop Prime, a scholar from there who had a degree in engineering. My father grew greatly in love with this mare and they soon dedicated their lives more for each other and their village than the study of the crystal. The crystal reacted to such love, causing a huge piece of the land to separate from the ground, becoming an island, which then became invisible to those on the ground. Everyone panicked at the sudden change, but my dad, still calm and cool, reassured everyone that such an event was not a treat to their lives. Everyone trusted their leader's words and continued about their day. Years went by, and the village grew into a town, and then a city as the ponies of the island left and invited more ponies, the griffons, and even zebra into their home. Technology advanced so far in only a few decades. My father named this city, his home, his kingdom Lavious, the "Kingdom of Renaissance". He declared that even with these new changes and any new changes in the future, we keep to old traditions of yester-year as to never forget what we grew up with and what our ancestors cherished. Before long after my father was crowned king, my mother soon had me. She had a uterus problem which normally hindered getting a child by a lot. But my father remained determined and that determination paid off finally. My knowledge of Gallop Prime, even if I never visited it at that time, carried on with me. Once I was ready to take my dad's place as ruler, I promised to keep my ancestor's wishes, including his. And to this day, I hold that promise dearly to my heart. ...While I make new promises with the new ponies that I meet as my life goes on. Ponies...like my trusty mare princess, Blue Sky of CloudSky.
