It was a nice Saturday afternoon. I was waiting at a local cafe, drinking some tea. I had received a letter from the Pokemon Institute of Technology, saying that they'd like to send a representative to get an interview of me, see if I'd be a good candidate for their school, and scholarship worthy, and all that. Of course, it was an all-Pokemon school, meaning I would have to spend the rest of my school career in my Lucario form. Well, at least is was better than another offer I received from UIM, the Unicorn Institute of Magic. Even the thought of having to spend a second in that form sent a shudder of disgust through me. 4 years would be unbearable. Well, I didn't have to worry about that. I was most likely to get into a normal human college, so I didn't need to worry about sticking in one of my forms either way. So, I was standing outside the cafe with my tea in my Lucario form, waiting for this representative. There was another part of the letter, saying that he would meet with me and another from my area at the same time. I was wondering who it would be. Suddenly, while I was lost in thought, I was tackled, I fell on to my back, spilling my tea on go the sidewalk. It was then I noticed that Kai was on top me. "Gabriel! I'm so glad to see you!" He was very excited to see me for some reason. "K-Kai. You're here." I was surprised to see him. I hadn't expected to see him today. "Of course I'm here. I would not dare to miss a chance like this." "So... You got that letter?" "Of course ^^" I was taken off guard. I thought that it was impossible for Kai to even be known by any colleges. Unsure how to ask how he got the invite, I started to ask. "B-but, how will you even... I mean, I haven't known you to be exactly, well..." What was I supposed to say? Smart? Educated? The next word I would say could make Kai think I think he's stupid. "Don't worry, Gabriel. What I lack in physical strength, I make up for in the strength of my love for you." He brought his head in close to kiss me, but I stopped him, placing a paw in his face. "Kai. What are you talking about?" I was lost entirely, thinking now we're talking about two different things. "Your letter. Last night I got a letter from you, telling how you plan to kill that dragon and run off with me and your daughter. If its for you, I'll summon the strength." My eyes widened in surprise. "Kai! What the hell?! I would never do something that evil!" "Y-your letter said you were done with females, and with dragons, and that you desperately wanted to leave her, but she wouldn't let you leave... You said the only way was to kill her." Despite this insanity he was telling me, I tried to remain calm. "Kai... I never wrote anything at all like that..." "I-It was your handwriting..." He got off of me, looking quite disappointed. I stood up. I felt sorry for him, but I had to tell him. "Look... You are a nice, attractive guy. Anyone would be lucky to have you... But, I don't have true feelings for you. Certainly not enough to kill my mate for you." "B-but... I-I love you..." "I know... I can't return those feelings, though... I can't lie about the fact that I'm not completely straight... But, I'm not going to betray her... I may not be bound by marriage, but I'm in a committed relationship with her..." Kai was still upset that he was sill quite alone, but he respected me. "I understand... Well... I should leave..." With that, he started to leave. "I'll see you later, Kai." With that he left. I was then left to wonder who had tricked Kai in such a way... But, then, another thought crossed my mind: Is Kai so in love with me he'd help me KILL Elly?!
