Previously on Galarian Days... With one of each carrot type in his pockets, Calvin is all set to continue his quest set by Calyrex... with help from the rest of the group, of course. After climbing the mountain to the Crown Shrine, avoiding assault from hangry steeds, feeding said steeds and gaining their friendship, and crafting a new set of Reins of Unity, Calvin joins Zander and Wufu in becoming the third messenger, a.k.a. the Cervine Squire of Galar. - "Okay, so now we have three messengers of legendary Pokemon of Galar," Sophia summed up as the group made their way back down the mountain. "And I know, we still have an opposite crisis to prevent... but before that, we need to come up with a group name for you guys." "Group name?" Zander inquired, tilting his head. "Like, there's the Wolfen Knight, Ursine Retainer, and now the Cervine Squire," Sophia explained, "and, don't get me wrong, they're all cool individual titles, but saying all those titles over and over can really wear you down, bonus points to whoever gets the reference." "So what, are you saying we should be called 'them?'" Wufu asked. "With all due respect, let me demonstrate how that would go down: 'Citizens across the Galar region, presenting your new saviors... them!'" "Not like that!" Calvin defended. "Just something to refer to us collectively, but still self-explanitory and easy to remember." "Exactly!" Sophia said. "May I weigh in?" Peony said, putting himself in the conversation. "No one said you couldn't," Zander said. "Well," the man started now that he was given the green light, "the way I see it, the answer is right there the whole time! If you ask me, a group name should tell the world the things you have in common, so we just need to find out what that is and build on it!" "Well, we're from different parts of Galar," Zander said, "so that's one." "We were chosen by their legendary Pokemon," Wufu tacked on. "That's two." "And we're all anthros, so that's three things already!" Calvin added. "So, how's this for a team name?" Peony pitched. "Full-Atlas Galarian Legend Anthro Team!" "NO!!!" Sophia shouted, making everyone stop just as they came back to the Giant's Bed. "What do you mean no-" Zander started, but suddenly he connected the dots and said, "Oh, I see where you're coming from." "Maybe we ought to put a pin on a group name for now," Wufu said, "and deal with how we're going to stop the opposite crisis first." "Right," Zander agreed. "Last I remember, Elle said she had a plan to restore the Galar particle supply after the cup was over. And to answer your next question, Calvin, Elle is the new chairperson of the Pokemon League and Macro Cosmos." "She also has an assistant named Turner, who is also the concierge of Macro Cosmos," Wufu added. "Okay," Calvin said as he took in the new info. "And what is the new Rose and Oleana planning to do after the Cup?" "Please don't use comparisons," Zander chided. "I know you think it makes you sound cute, but it is not. And we don't know, but I do have a way to get a semblence of finding out." He then took out his phone and added, "Ironic that the person responsible gave me this." After pulling up the home screen, he then saw a bulletin that announced the following: "Champion Continues Winning Streak at Cup!" "No surprise there," Zander said. "It says the Champion's Cup is over, and the current Champion is still the Champion. But more importantly, it means that Elle and Turner are on their way to enact the next phase of the plan!" - Meanwhile, back at Wyndon Stadium, the Maximizers were just wrapping up their performance to celebrate the end of the Champion's Cup, but the screen was holding the message, "Please Stay Seated for a Special Announcement." As the band was leaving the pitch, Elle and Turner had taken center stage and opened up with, "What an amazing performance, everyone! The Maximizers, fabulous as always! Let's give them one more round of applause, and for the Champion as well!" Everyone clapped, and Elle waited until they were done. "Lovely," she said. "Now, you all may be wondering why the screen is saying what it's saying. Well, it's correct, because the special announcement is from me! As you may remember, last year's Champion Cup was interrupted at the last round by the Darkest Day, but this year was interrupted by a giant monster called a Dynamiasma, and it is true, I summoned it by using repurposed Galar particles from the stadium's Power Spot. I take full responsibility for that." The crowd stood silent. "However," Elle continued, "there is a method to the madness, which is this announcement. I believe I have found a correct solution to the energy crisis that will befall Galar in 2,000 years, without restarting the Darkest Day! Turner, roll the presentation, and everyone else, direct your attention to the screen, please!" "As you wish, miss Elle," Turner said, and he pressed two buttons on a console in front of him. The lights in the stadium then dimmed, and the screen showed a film countdown from 10. After the beep, the black background showed bursts of different special effects. A flash of light, a burst of impact from a fist, and a gust of wind with feathers were shown, then a message was shown. "Energy." A bubbling of sludge, a spray of sand, and a tumbling of rocks later, another phrase was shown. "The essence of our very being." Then there was a buzzing of specks, a wafting of wisps and a clang of metal before more words were shown. "It can never be destroyed." A burst of flames, a splash of water and a scattering of leaves were shown before more words. "However..." A bolt of lightning, a pulse of vibrations, and a puff of snow later... "It can..." A burst of scales, a blast of darkness, and a shimmer of glitter showed the last of the sentence. "be changed." Suddenly, the black background opened up in the middle, revealing a group of silhouettes in front of a white background. The scene then changed to an open field, where 18 small creatures leapt together into view! "Introducing... the Miniasmas!" Though the audience didn't know it, the Miniasmas resembled smaller, more docile versions of the Dynamiasmas, and in the video playing, they were busy performing tasks like serving food, escorting people, hauling freight, constructing buildings, and even protecting others from unruly characters. "Experience the future of service... 24/7!" The next scene showed a timelapse of the Miniasmas continuing to work with one hour having passed in each frame, resulting in a flipbook-style animation that showed the sun circling the sky several times while the work continued without slowing down. The audience was impressed. "Whatever you need done, they can handle it all!" Finally, the video ended with the Miniasmas striking a final pose together, and one last sentence being shown as the image blurred. "The Miniasmas! Going into effect in 3 days." The video then ended, and a countdown timer took its place as the lights came back on, counting down from 3 days. Elle then resumed speaking and said, "That's right, people! Macro Cosmos is officially announcing the arrival of our latest project: Operation: Lil' Helpers, a working title, but rebranded into the Miniasma project! We will be placing these small, harmless, hard-working, not to mention adorable creatures called Miniasmas into Poke Jobs to continue the work flow, thereby increasing productivity and sustaining the whole of our beloved Galar region all the better!" The audience clamored with mixed reactions, then Elle continued, "Now, I know you all have some questions and concerns, and that's understandable. But, simple solution here, we will be sending you an email informing you how much time remains until the project goes into effect, as well as a link to a website you can use to submit whatever comments you have on the subject. Feel free to use it as many times as you need to until the last hour of the countdown, and we'll hold a mini seminar here at the stadium to address our most frequently asked questions in leiu of the open invitationals on this day. Until then, hope you've enjoyed the cup this year, thank you all for staying and listening to this announcement, and..." She then blew a kiss to the audience before wrapping up her speech with, "Good night, everybody!" Everyone was then pouring out of the stadium, looking at their Rotom Phones for the email...
