Previously on Galarian Days... Zander and Wufu finally make it to the Crown Tundra, but the incliment weather there provides quite the obstacle for both anthros, despite their fur coats. It takes a call to the Battle Cafe and a delivery from Sophia Zuker before they realize they're in over their heads, so they join her to prepare for another attempt to seek out the third messenger... - On board the Flying Taxi, Zander, Wufu and Sophia were riding back to Wyndon for Sophia to cash in her profits and clock out for the rest of the day, while the anthros were nursing their mochas. After a few sips from his, Zander piped up, "So... learned something new about ourselves today. Apparently, cold temperatures make us sleepy... or, more specifically, they make Wufu sleepy so he emits contagious yawns." "I'm not going to tell you again, Zander," Wufu said after another swig. "Bears get sleepy when their bodies are put in wintertime conditions, and hibernation is hard-wired into our systems. The fact that you fell asleep too was just an accidental coincidence, and I am sorry for that." "Guys," Sophia interjected, "there's no need for squabbling here. After I clock out, the three of us can head to Circhester, and you can purchase some thicker winter clothing while I change out of my uniform. That sound like a plan?" "Worth a shot," both anthros supposed. "Good," Sophia punctuated. "Wait a second," Zander said as something clicked in his brain. "There were wintertime conditions in Circhester, so why weren't you drowsy when we were helping Winston with the Ground Dynamiasma?" "Oh, I was," Wufu explained. "I was just trying not to let it show back then... which may have also contributed to my crankiness towards the Rose of the Rhodelands yesterday." "Also?" Sophia asked. "What do you mean, also?" "Trust me on this one, you don't want to know," Zander dismissed. "Say no more, I get it," Sophia said, getting the message. And no more was said until the cab returned to Wyndon for Sophia to submit her pay, clock out and come back off-duty until tomorrow, after which she rejoined Zander and Wufu to the shorter flight to her home in Circhester. Once they arrived, everyone piled out of the cab, and the driver was thanked for his services before he flew off to assist his next customer. "Okay, we're here!" Sophia said. "Now, full breakdown: starting past the entrance to town, Circhester is a symmetrical town. On one side, you've got the Pokemon Center and Bob's Your Uncle, while the other has the salon and boutique. Once you reach the restaurant, take a right and you'll be at the boutique in two wags of a Yamper's tail. No offense, Zander." "None taken," Zander assured. "They should have some clothes thick enough for you to weather the tundra, so once you're situated, we'll meet back up at the Hero's Bath in five... teen minutes?" "Sounds good," Wufu said. "Five-teen minutes should be plenty of time for us to pick out an outfit." "Great. See you then!" Sophia said, and she closed the door to her home to leave the two anthros to their task. "Nice girl," Wufu commented as they made their way to the boutique. "She is," Zander agreed, "but just drink your mocha." "I did, and now it's gone." "Then have the rest of mine while I go change in the dressing room," Zander said as they made it to the store. "Galar can't afford another mishap." "Okay," Wufu said as he took Zander's cup. Zander then entered the boutique, and in a few minutes, he came back out in his old Challenger Kit outfit. "Almost forgot I still had this," he said as he turned around in a circle, showing off his ensemble of white and gold. "Why did I not think of putting this on?" "Why, indeed," Wufu said before polishing off the rest of the mocha. "Okay, my turn!" Zander then took the empty cups from Wufu and tagged him in. After a few more minutes, the bear came out in his newly bought outfit: an Applin-themed sweater under his gi, blue worn jeans over his leggings, and a yellow trapper hat on his head. "How do you feel, Wufu?" Zander asked, having disposed of the cups during the wait. "Like I'm being constantly hugged by a warm cloud," Wufu answered, hugging himself. "More importantly, though, how do I look?" "Like a rare cousin who's fun to be around. Now let's head down to the Hero's Bath to meet up with Sophia." "Right behind you." With that, both wolf and bear went down to the steaming pool in their adorned garb to wait for their guest. Soon enough, though, she had finally rejoined both anthros in her own getup: a brown sweater and blue sweatpants over her usual clothes. "Hey, guys!" Sophia called out. "Sorry I took so long, had to get the work off of me before I got into this." "Quite all right," Zander said. "Ready to give the Crown Tundra another go?" "I know I am!" Wufu said, showing off his new threads. "Sure am! Looking good, by the way." "Then let's see if the Flying Taxi won't mind having a repeat customer!" Zander said as he made another call...
