Previously on Galarian Days... Zander and Wufu have another run-in with Klara at Hulbury after defeating another Dynamiasma, and Selene tells her to restart her "initiation training" because her being the Gym Leader "wasn't Klara's decision to make." Zander recalls a similar moment when the latter phrase was said, but he and Wufu have little time to dwell on it when they arrive at Motostoke to help Raphael deal with a Dynamiasma problem of his own, and he possibly gives them new information to chew on regarding who else could be in on the opposite crisis... - "So, you're saying Dan could be the reason a giant who-knows-what was wreaking havoc in the Battle Court?" Raphael asked after Zander and Wufu regrouped with him. "Well, the evidence does seem to support that claim," Zander reasoned. "Never argue with the evidence," Wufu punctuated. "You left Dan in charge when you went to go get your coffee, and when you got back, there was the Dynamiasma. Coincidence? I think NOT!" "Okay, that could've been an error on my part," Raphael admitted. "I'm sorry, but I have an image to keep up! Energy!" "Oh, oh, you have an 'image' to keep up," Wufu remarked sarcastically. "What's your next excuse to not step up? Your agent won't let you?" "Wufu, stop!" Zander intervened. "I know we still have a mission to carry out, but that's no reason to turn on others!" "Well, I'm sorry, Zander! It's bad enough that we found out Dan could be involved in this opposite crisis, but I'm still a little on edge about having to see Klara again!" "Oh, of course, the pop diva who you gave a nosebleed!?" "Hey, she called you a fur-butt, too, Zander. Until I know your interactions with her, you don't get to play that card." "Hey! Speaking of cards!" Raphael interjected, "Here's one to thank you for clearing out the Battle Court for me!" He handed Zander his own rare League Card depicting a younger him next to Kabu before his hair turned gray. On the other side, it said, "At a young age, Raphael was a regular patron of Motostoke Stadium, even when Kabu had first debuted as its Gym Leader. He gleaned from his fiery passion, whether he was winning or losing, and during Kabu's defection to the Minor League, it left him in a state of disappointment that seemed endless. But that was when he decided that his dream for the future would be to become the next Gym Leader of Motostoke to keep the fighting spirit (not to mention energy) going should Kabu drop out entirely, which he has accomplished today." "Ooh.... yeah," Wufu said embarrased at what he commented earlier while Zander pocketed the card. "Sorry for making that earlier crack before I got the whole story. No hard feelings?" he asked as he held out his paw. "None whatsoever," Raphael said as he and Wufu shared a firm handshake. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I still have to train for the Champion's Cup finals tomorrow!" "Good luck, Raphael!" Zander said as the Lightning Retainer rushed back to work, then told Wufu, "And for the record, before I got into Hulbury to get my second badge, Klara challenged me to a battle hoping to 'put me down,' but I put the kibosh on that... and her Slowbro. Made her tune change, just like that," punctuating the last three words with a snap of his fingers before calling up another Flying Taxi ride. "Wow," Wufu said impressed. "Yeah," Zander said as the cab came back. "Wow." Zander and Wufu then hopped back inside before the cab took off for their next stop, and during the ride, Zander decided to be bold and asked Wufu, "So, how was your experience on the Isle of Armor, since I just told you a little bit about my Gym Challenge... and we're kind of reliving it together on this tour, and all?" "You want to know more?" Wufu asked. "Alright, anyways.... uh.... foot, where did I leave off again?" "The part where you left Klara and Avery after giving them nosebleeds." "Oh, yeah..." - (Flashback) - A still cinnamon-furred Wufu had just caught several Pokemon on his way to the Master Dojo before he knocked on the door, which was then opened by Honey. "Oh, hello there! Welcome to the Master Dojo, young man. My name is Ms. Honey, the Dojo Matron. And you are?" "I'm Wufu, ma'am," the bear said. "I've come here to attempt an enrollment here." "Well, you've certainly come to the right place, sweetie!" Honey said as she ushered Wufu inside. "We're always itching to welcome new students here! And you're just in time, because we're about to start the three trials of the Master Dojo today!" "Huh," Wufu said as he was ushered into the throng. "Crazy how stuff lines up that way, isn't it?" "Okay, I hope everybody's ready today!" Mustard called out to his gathered students. "Today, we're going to reattempt the trials of the Master Dojo. And you all know what that involves, as well as what will happen if you succeed!" "Oh, do I ever know, Master!" "I'm ready for 'em this time!" "No one's stopping me from completing those trials!" "Actually, I'm still rather new to this whole thing," Wufu said. "Could someone tell me what exactly I'm in for here?" "Oh?" Mustard asked as he glanced Wufu's way. "And who do we have here?" "My name is Wufu, sir," Wufu said. "I had come here to enroll myself in the Master Dojo, and I was sort of... thrust in here." "Oh, well, welcome to the Master Dojo, Wufu!" Mustard greeted. "Ah, but you're not dressed properly for the part, and that simply won't do. Fortunately, I have a spare Dojo Uniform right here!" And he presented Wufu with his very own Dojo Uniform, neatly folded into a nice, little stack. "Oh! Thank you!" Wufu said as he accepted his new outfit. But just as he turned around to go change, a "whoosh" was heard, and the stack of clothes was gone! "What the!?" "Something the matter, Wufu?" Mustard asked, feigning innocence. "You're durn right something's the matter!" Wufu said upset. "Something just grabbed the Dojo Uniform you gave me right out of my paws!" "Slooooooowwww!" Everyone turned to face the direction of the noise, and there stood three Galarian Slowpoke right outside the kitchen. Just as quickly as they were spotted, though, the one at the front of the group let out another "Sloooooowwww!" and all three beat a hasty retreat out the door, emphasis on hasty. "Oopsie-whoopsie!" Mustard said as Wufu was still reeling from what just happened. "Guess I forgot to take my Slowpoke out for their daily walk around the Isle. But that's okay, because the first trial is to get Wufu's uniform back from them!" "Apricorns to that nonsense! I'm getting it back myself!" Wufu said, still steaming as he stormed out after the speedy Slowpoke! "Wufu!" - (Flashback paused) - "After that, I sort of blanked out for a minute, but when I came back to, I got my uniform back, as well as this delicious, zesty flavor in my mouth," Wufu wrapped up. "And that's the story of how I got my current outfit, as well as aquired a taste for Galarian Slowpoke tails." As the Flying Taxi touched down in Stow-on-Side, Zander remarked, "Whoa. Remind me never to get on your bad side." "Or my hungry side," Wufu added, giving them both a laugh as they made their way to the stadium. "But, back to the matter at hand. Right now, we still need to do away with some Dynamiasmas, including the one here. I just hope we're not too late to help this... Normal-type Gym Leader." "I hope so, too," Zander said before they entered. "Basil doesn't seem to deal with stress too well, and this is a pretty stressful situation." "Then perhaps you should ask if he's okay," someone said, and both wolf and bear turned around to see none other than the person they were talking about. "Basil!" Zander said. "Good to see you again! But, uh... how long have you been standing there?" "Since I recieved word that some giant monsters were being cleared out of the Stadiums in mid-southern Galar," Basil reasoned as he adjusted his glasses. "So, you already cleared out the town after a Dynamiasma appeared in the Stadium while you were training for the Champion's Cup finals?" Wufu asked. "Pow, that was a mouthful." "Yes, exactly." "Then it's a good thing we came when we did!" Zander said. "Come on, Wufu! Let's go take down another Dynamiasma!" "Right behind you, Zander!" Wufu said, and the two anthros entered the Stadium together... - Both of them had just entered the chamber when Wufu looked out towards the downward-sloping teacup ride. "Whoa! That's a long way down there!" "True," Zander reasoned, "but it's the only way to get to the Battle Court! Now, hop in!" "What about your weapons?" Wufu asked as they entered the Wooloo teacup. "I have a plan for that, but I have to hold off until we get to the bottom, so you'll have to steer!" As soon as they sat down, Wufu started turning the steering wheel to spin the cup while Zander kept his paws at his sides. With some difficulty, they managed to navigate through the maze of curves, turns and bounces until they reached the bottom of the ramp. "Whoa... Dizzy! I'm dizzy!" Wufu exclaimed as he tried to walk towards a rail to get his balance back. Just then, a loud, sharp bark rang out! "Zander! I need a few seconds to get my feet back, or I'll topple off this thing! Have patience already!" "That wasn't me!" Zander said, still sitting in the cup. "It must be the Dynamiasma! Good thing we made it to the bottom, though, because now I can enact the plan!" He then grabbed the wheel with one paw and the pole with the other... and there were his weapons! "Basil will understand! Now let's go!" - Zander and Wufu entered the Battle Court, and right on the stadium's pitch was a giant dog made of white light with tufts of fur accented with yellow and light blue. With every sharp bark it made, it created a pillar of light from the ground, and seemed to be getting faster each time! Wufu responded to that in kind by summoning the watery aura, while Zander put up his force field. After being hit with several splashes of water, the Dynamiasma barked another pillar of light, but the force field simply rendered it ineffective. After he let his force field down, Zander quickly sat on top of Wufu's shoulders, and Wufu spun in place, blasting splashes of water all over the place while Zander held out his sword, resulting in a flurry of frenzied strikes that hit the Dynamiasma no matter what it tried, causing it to howl in torturous agony until it exploded in a cloud of white dust! Wufu then stopped spinning, and Zander got back down on the ground as his weapons disappeared... again. "Guess we showed that thing who the top dog is around here. Or... should I say, wolf?" "And bear, don't forget bear," Zander added. "Oh, one more thing?" "Yeah?" Wufu asked, but then got bopped on the muzzle. "Hey!" "Just like you don't like being called bear stereotypes, I don't like being compared to a dog, let alone called one. Now we're even for Turffield." "Noted," Wufu said as he rubbed his nose. - Closed captioning sponsored in part by... (Commercial: MC Insurance) Um... hello, everyone. I'm Allister. I, uh... want to tell you... about MC Insurance.
