Previously on Galarian Days... After feeling sorry for not getting any results on his mission to stop the opposite crisis, Zander is encouraged to get back up on his feet by the Dojo family, and he comes up with the idea to seek out the man in black and/or woman in white himself. Wufu tags along with him, and during the Flying Taxi ride, the bear discloses what happened during his first visit to the Isle of Armor, but the story gets cut short when the two anthros reach the first spot to carry out Zander's mission: Turffield. - "Okay, explain it to me again," Wufu said as he and Zander walked. "Why would this 'man in black and/or woman in white' be in Turffield?" "Because," Zander explained, "now that the Power Spot under the Master Dojo's Battle Court has been drained of Galar Particles, chances are they'll be looking for more Power Spots to suck dry. And one of them is underneath Turffield Stadium, so we might be able to catch them there... or, at the very least, ask if Annie's seen them." "And Annie is...?" Wufu asked. "I'm sorry, but like I said, I wasn't going through the same adventures you were." "Right, that part slipped my mind," Zander said. "Annie's the current Gym Leader of Turffield this year." "And she's a... Bug-type Trainer, I'm guessing?" Wufu asked as they approached the stadium. "Correct." "Okay, no further questions." Zander and Wufu then entered the stadium building... but it was eerily empty. "Hello? Anyone here?" Wufu called out. "Hmm, that's strange," Zander said. "The only reason I can come up with about why it's so quiet is that Annie already left for the finals, but they're not until tomorrow." "Maybe she wanted to get a head start?" Wufu guessed. But just then, the front door of the building opened up, and Zander and Wufu turned around to see none other than Annie entering! "What are you doing here?" she said, not recognizing the others in the lobby. "Turffield should have been evacuated by now!" "Evacuated!?" Zander exclaimed. "Wait... is that..." Annie said, starting to recognize the voice that just spoke. "Zander! Long time no see!" "Good to see you again, too," Zander quickly said, "but back to the subject at hand. What did you mean when you said evacuated? Did something happen while I was gone?" "Did something ever!" Annie said, then added when she took notice of Wufu, "And who's your new friend here?" "My name's Wufu. Pleasure to meet you." "Likewise, I'm sure. Anyway, this morning I was set to get ready for the Champion Cup finals when I heard some sort of raspy hissing," the Insect Princess began. "When I went to investigate, there was this giant monster wreaking havoc on the pitch! My Gym Trainers and I tried to fend it off, but it swept us all off in one fell swoop, and for some reason, I couldn't Dynamax my Pokemon to get a leg up. So, I sent out a warning for the town to be evacuated." "You couldn't Dynamax your Pokemon?" Zander asked. "Aw, Krabby! We're too late!" "Well, did you at least get a glimpse of where the monster came from?" Wufu asked Annie. "Nope, sorry." Just then, the raspy hissing Annie described rang out, startling its witnesses! "Oh, no, it's still here! We have to get out of here now!" "With all due respect, Annie," Zander said, "no. I've dealt with these kinds of monsters before at least 10 times now, and I'm not going to wimp out on an eleventh!" He then hopped the dividers to the Gym Mission chamber. "Zander! Wait up!" Wufu called out as he chased after the wolf. - Zander and Wufu had entered the chamber, still cleared of the silk bundles from the last mission, but the ground was now littered with cobwebs. "First, I'll have to find something to convert into my weapons," Zander said as he started looking. "Weapons?" Wufu asked. "Yes, weapons," Zander explained. "When I was marked with the royal colors by Zacian and Zamazenta, I became able to change objects into a sword and shield to defend myself from Dynamiasmas. Those are the giant monsters that wreak havoc wherever Galar particles are found. The trick to use my powers is to find something long for the sword, and something flat for the shield." Wufu looked back at the cobwebs, then told Zander, "Then I may have an idea that could help." He then carefully pulled the cobwebs off of the grass and folded them into a sheet of silk fabric. While Wufu was working on the impromptu shield, Zander kept looking for something to make into his sword. After stepping onto the next field, he found a branch that had broken off one of the trees. He grabbed it, and in a flash of cyan light, he was holding his sword. "Okay, got the offense taken care of, now all I need is the defense, and maybe I'll get to see Wufu's powers in action if he has any." "Finished!" Wufu said. Zander turned around and saw that while all the cobwebs were cleared out, the result was more of a wad than a sheet. "Ohp, hold on a second," the yellow bear added before he crushed the wad in his paws into a flat disk. "How's this?" "Close enough," Zander said as he accepted the flattened mass and it became his shield in a flash of magenta light. "Thanks, Wufu. Now let's go squish a big bug!" "How are you sure it's a bug we're dealing with if we haven't seen it?" Wufu asked as they rushed towards the stadium's Battle Court. "Call it a hunch!" - Finally, Zander and Wufu made it to the pitch, where they saw the source of the raspy hissing Annie described: a giant, chartreuse arachnid creature with a mix of parts: eight hairy legs, a long, prehensile tail with a scorpion stinger, and eight unblinking eyes. Worst of all, it held a cluster of eggs underneath its oversized abdomen that constantly hatched into fully-grown butterflies, and all around the stadium's bleachers, they were building hives! "She said it was here since this morning?" Wufu asked. "Those bugs sure are fast, then!" "Control yourself, Wufu!" Zander said as he primed himself for the fight against the Dynamiasma. "I don't think there's any honey in those hives!" He then called out to the arachnid, "Hey! Elebug! We've been hired to exterminate you and your ugly bastard spawn!" That comment only angered the monster, and the butterflies that recently hatched suddenly darted towards Zander and Wufu. Zander simply held up his shield, and the force field vaporized the butterflies, but he kept an eye on Wufu and shouted, "Look out! They're coming right at us!" What happened instantly afterwards was surprising: Wufu tensed up his body, and a circle of watery aura appeared around him. He then rapidly thrusted his paws towards the butterflies that came at him, and they were repelled away from him and shot at the hives, causing them to burst and disintegrate! Zander was temporarily wowed by what happened, but then he remembered that the hive queen still needed to be dealt with, so he swung his shield and blasted the Dynamiasma with the force field, temporarily stunning it. He was about to finish it off with his sword, but then Wufu tensed up again, and a circle of shadowy aura appeared. He then shot towards the arachnid and struck it with a mighty punch, causing it to hiss in agony until it exploded in a burst of chartreuse dust! "Whoa," Zander said. "Distortion World yes whoa," Wufu said. "Now you know the powers that Urshifu and Urshifu have given me after I was marked with the master colors." "Cool-" Zander started, but then Wufu quickly bopped him on the muzzle. "Ah! What was that all about!?" "That was for that racist comment you made earlier." "What racist comment?" "Telling me to control myself because there was no honey in those hives?" Wufu said. "Oh, because I'm a bear, so I must love honey. That is such a stereotype!" "You're saying you don't love honey?" Zander asked as he rubbed his muzzle. "Of course I love honey, I'm a bear!" Wufu said. "I just don't like it when people can't look past my bearyness! Why else would I give Klara and Avery nosebleeds for calling me teddy-boy?" "Okay, I see what you're driving at. One time, a Pokemon Breeder called me a crazy dog, and I smacked an Egg out of her hands and into the side of a mountain. But enough about our pre-chosen lives, we should tell Annie that the Dynamiasma has been dealt with and bring her up to speed." "Good idea," Wufu said, and both anthros made their way back to the lobby... - Closed captioning sponsored in part by... (Commercial: Turffield Orchards) Hello, everybody!
