Mousey huffed with annoyance. She'd been so into the idea of going to a haunted corn maze when Magi suggested it, but forty-five minutes after he vanished at the entrance... The brown bunny peered up at the tops of the densely packed corn stalks that made up the walls of the labyrinth. A bit more than three times her height, this close to Halloween. She had come across a few actors pretending to be monsters which were fairly dull. They just reset and prepped for the next guest when she didn't react. The rabbit was mostly tired of the spooky sounds tape that was playing over hidden speakers throughout the maze, and of walking on the packed earth. Fists firmly pressed in her pockets, she rounded a bend in the path. A wolf wearing tattered clothes and having his fur mussed up with petroleum jelly jumped out of hidden alcove with a snarl. Judging from the contacts he had in and how large the actor was, he was presumably meant to be a werewolf. "Dinner!" He shouted right in her face, teeth parting. Unlike the other actors wielding fake chainsaws or rubber machetes... those teeth were real, even if everything else about the wolf wasn't. Mousey leapt a full foot in the air, wheeling her legs. "Fuck that!" She bolted down the path past the alcove that the actor had been hiding in. With a truly effective howl, the 'werewolf' gave chase, large claws digging into the tightly packed earth as he followed his prey. As she ran, Mousey thought of the possibility that this guy had been put up to actually chasing her like this by Magi. She could hear the actor tearing after her, rustling the corn as he brushed corners to cut them tighter than she was... But she dismissed the notion. If it was her boyfriend he would have been teasing her telepathically by now. Part of her wished it had been the pokémon... with his psychic abilities he could have taken control of this actor... or even made an illusion of himself as a very realistic wolf! Suddenly, the rabbit realized that the sounds had faded. She'd gotten away, and presumably the actor had begun trekking back to his hiding place, or perhaps another hiding place to lie in wait for other guests to scare. Mousey panted as she bounded down from her full sprint into a steady walk again. She looked around, and then back, pivoting to face that way as she continued on the way she'd been, before finishing the turn. She couldn't remember if she'd seen forks in the path while she was in her fight-or-flight mode, and she had no idea of how much her path had twisted or turned off the heading she'd been on before! Mousey let out a heavy sigh and kept going along. She turned another corner, entering a rectangular opening in the corn. She'd seen one of these earlier, an 'operating room' with a mad surgeon. This one however, was done up like a Hollywood Egyptian tomb. The standing sarcophagus at the center of the display loudly creaked open. Some kind of actor bundled up in stained bandages stiffly walked towards her with a low groan. Mousey rolled her eyes and put out a paw. "Look, I'm sorry that you got stolen from your homeland by imperialist plunderers but I really do need to be going." She kept walking right to the exit on the opposite side of the chamber as the actor in the wrappings stood speechless at that reaction. The path on the far side made a sharp left turn after a couple of widths of one of the 'scene' clearings, then settled back into winding patterns. The rabbit sighed deeply, shoving her hands back into the pockets of her jacket. ~Ah, there you are.~ The telepathic voice rung in the bunny's mind. A moment later Magi appeared, a light glow appearing where his levitating body phased straight through the tightly packed stalks and leaves of maize. The shiny mew casually inverted, hind legs and tail dangling against gravity as he looked over the grumpy rabbit fondly. "Do you know where we are, Magi?" Mousey sighed. ~Of course I do!~ The psychic pokémon replied, slowly rotating as he drifted. ~This maze is easy!~ The brown-furred rabbit rolled her eyes. "You do know that most people this thing's designed for can't just cut through the walls like you do, right?" She put her hands on her hips sternly. Magi tilted his head and placed one of his forepaws to his smooth muzzle, pondering for a moment. ~Would you like me to carry you over the walls instead?~ Mousey scrunched her lips to one side of her muzzle as she mulled over the offer. She rocked on her feet lightly. Yep, feet were getting sore. She held her hands out towards the floating feline. "Sure, let's get out of here." Pivoting in midair, the shiny mew gently wrapped her wrists in his tail to press them together, while lightly placing his hind paws against her palms. The bunny gave them a gentle squeeze as she felt his levitation spreading through her, starting to separate her from the packed earth. Mousey sighed at the relief of her feet just dangling in the microgravity she was experiencing. Magi giggled in his natural voice, the sweet pokémon cry ringing out like a bell over the constant scary music track. Once they were high enough that his passenger wouldn't hit the tall stalks, he began to float off towards the exit of the haunted maze attraction. His giggles continued as he felt the confusion of various people in the maze below at a small blue glowing cat making off with a bunny...
