The Moon Demon's Bride

Chapter 1:
A Beautiful Voice

Tso Lan (narrating): I recall that very day.  The day I met a beautiful young woman named Yue.  It happened many years ago, though it seemed like it was only yesterday.
Tso Lan: -standing on the moon, looking down at Earth-
Tso Lan (narrating): One day, I have come to realize that I was lonely for companionship.  Therefore, I have decided it was time for me to descend down to Earth and seek a wife.
-the scene shifts to Tso Lan on Earth in his human form walking around in a small town-
Tso Lan (narrating): In my human form, I wandered around a small town in England.  Its population was of very wealthy aristocrats.  I was about to take my leave to look elsewhere when suddenly....
Tso Lan: -hears a beautiful voice singing faintly-  Hmm?  That voice....
Tso Lan (narrating): I heard the most beautiful voice.  Without hesitation, I went to seek the source of this heavenly sound.
Tso Lan: -follows his ears, the song leads him to a large garden, there he sees a beautiful young woman with long black hair and deep blue eyes sitting near a fountain-
Tso Lan (narrating): And that was when I first laid eyes on her....
Young Woman: -singing a beautiful Chinese love song, not noticing Tso Lan is behind her-
Tso Lan: -hiding away, then he feels something in his chest pulsing, holds a hand on his chest, gasping, thinks- (What...what is this pulsing sensation in my chest?  I have never felt this way before...)
Tso Lan (narrating): And then I realized what this pulsing sensation was: it was my heart beating.
Tso Lan: -sighs as he puts a hand over his heart, then he gazes at the young woman- This human woman....how she sings....I have never heard anyone sing so beautifully as she....not only that...she is a creature of exquisite beauty....
Young Woman: -stops singing, gasps-  Who's there?
Tso Lan: -shows himself-
Young Woman: -gasps-
Tso Lan: Do not be frightened.  I mean you no harm.
Young Woman: Who are you?
Tso Lan: I am new here.  I am called....-thinks of a different name to use-...ahem!  I am called Sir London.
Young Woman: Sir London?
Tso Lan: Yes.  What is your name?
Young Woman: My name?  It's Yue.  Yue Chang.
Tso Lan: A lovely name for a lovely young lady.
Yue: No.  -blushes-  I'm not lovely.
Tso Lan: I beg to differ.
Yue: Why are you here?  How did you know about this place?
Tso Lan: I heard you singing.
Yue: Y-you did?  Oh, dear!  Ohhh....it must've been quite a nuisance to hear such a dull voice as mine...
Tso Lan: Nonsense.  You have the voice of an angel.
Yue: You really think so?
Tso Lan: Yes.
Yue: I see.
Tso Lan: -sits next to Yue- In all honesty, I have never heard a voice as beautiful as yours.
Yue: -smiles, blushes-
Female Voice: -calling out-  Yue!
Yue: -gasps-
Tso Lan: Who was that?
Yue: That's my mother!  I must go.  -starts to walk away-
Tso Lan: Will I see you again?
Yue: I....I don't know...Maybe someday...
Mother's Voice: Yue!  Where are you?
Yue: Goodbye!  -leaves the garden-
Tso Lan: I shall see you again...Yue.
