One Tail To Another Chapter 4: The Confession After a couple dates with Leilani, Chucky Choo has realized that he has officially fallen in love with her. So he has decided that it is time to tell her the truth. Chucky: -approaches Leilani's house- OK. Here we go. -knocks on the door- Leilani: -answers the door- Aloha, Chucky. Chucky: Hey, Leilani. May I come in? Leilani: Of course. Chucky: -enters the house- Leilani: It's nearly lunchtime. I'm gonna order us a pizza. Want some? Chucky: Sure. Leilani: -takes out her cellphone- What kind would you like? Chucky: I'll just have pepperoni. Leilani: OK. -starts dialing- Chucky: Hey, Leilani? Leilani: -stops dialing- Yes? Chucky: Can I tell you something? Leilani: What is it? Chucky: -inhales- I'm not a wealthy CEO. Leilani: Oh? Chucky: -sighs sadly- I'm not even rich at all. I used to be a hustler that sold fake Sheng Gong Wu. But that's not me anymore. I'm now a mystical dragon in a temple. Leilani: -doesn't talk- Chucky: So, if you want to kick me out of your house and never want to see me again, that'd be fine. I deserve that for lying to you. Leilani: Chucky.....there's something I want to show you. -leads Chucky to her bedroom, grabs her jewelry box, opens it- See these jewels? They're real, right? Chucky: Right. Leilani: Wrong! -takes a jewel out- Look at this ruby. It's made of glass. Watch. -smashes the ruby- Real rubies don't shatter like that. Chucky: Uhhh.... Leilani: -takes out a pearl necklace- And this necklace. Do you think these pearls are real? Chucky: Uhhhh....yes? Leilani: -grabs a rock, uses it to smash a pearl on the necklace- These are made of glass, too. Chucky: But....I thought you were from a rich family. Leilani: I am. I chose to buy fake, cheap jewelry because I don't want real gems. I don't want to marry a rich dragon. I just want to live like every other dragoness lives. Chucky: so let me get this straight: you don't like being rich? Leilani: Are you kidding? It's so boring! You have to behave a certain way, dress a certain way, speak a certain way, you even have to eat a certain way! Over the years, I've grown sick of it. I moved out of my parents' mansion because I want to be ordinary. Yes, they send me support money from time to time, but you get what I'm saying, right? Chucky: I think so. Leilani: I don't need to be super rich to be happy. Unlike my parents, I'm grateful for one thing that matters most: my friends. Chucky: So....you're not mad at me for lying to you about being super rich? Leilani: Actually.....I'm relived to know the truth. The last thing I want is a boyfriend who is a rich snob. Chucky: -sighs in relief- And I thought you'd hate me for not being rich. Leilani: I don't hate you. You may not be a rich guy, but you are sweet, funny and you appreciate what you have. To me, that's what makes you rich, on the inside. Chucky: You really think so? Leilani: Mm-hmm. -smooches Chucky on the lips- Chucky: -blushes, smiles- Leilani: Chucky, I'm glad you came into my life. I love you. Chucky: -holds Leilani's hands- I love you, too. You're beautiful. Not only that, you're smart, kind and...-chuckles- You're a tough gal. Leilani: Oh, Chucky~ Chucky: Oh, Leilani~ -they gaze into each other's eyes lovingly, then they begin to kiss- End of chapter 4
