Fiery Passion

Staring: Trainer JJ and Snake

	The arena was silent, one side was the elite four champ Snake. The other side was the light blue haired challenger JJ. Snake was standing tall and if she was sweating bullets about the fight she wasnt showing it. JJ on the other hand was hunched over the console looking at the last pokemon in his group. The name Fire flashed. The orange charizard was standing behind his master. JJ looked up at him, rubbing under his chin. Snake noticed this and smiled,
“This is going to be a great fight.”
She muttered under her breath as to her side her gengar phased in. He floated a bit, grinning at well. She poked to the battlefield and the purple ghost flew out. Snake saw that JJ was hesitant to let his charizard fight, but the orange dragon looking pokemon nuzzled against JJ and the trainer nodded pointed to the battlefield. Fire flapped his wings and took to the sky then landed in a puff of dirt. JJ swallowed as a tinge of confidence came to him and he stood up.
	From across the arena Snake saw the spark from the other trainer and she spoke,
“That's what I wanna see! Boogie use Shadow Claw!”
The gengar disappeared then reappeared and swiped at the charizard. The fire pokemon took the hit and roared in pain. Snake looked past the battle and saw JJ react when his pokemon got hit. She knew what was going on, she felt the same way with her gengar. The charizard recovered and blasted the ghost pokemon with a flamethrower. The fire lapped around the gengar, burning it but not doing that much damage. But seeing her Boogie in some pain made Snake flinch a bit.

	The battle went on for what felt like ever. Snake watched JJ's body language as the fight went on. He was distressed about his pokemon taking so much damage. The charizard was all bruised and cut from the attacks of Boogie. There was a break in the fight and Boogie was even looking over Fire as the pokemon held on for his master. Fire stumbled but stood up. The gengar was impressed but the battle had to end.
	JJ swallowed looking down at his hand, in his gloved hand was a glowing mega stone. Fire looked back at JJ, his blue eyes shimmered and he shook his head. The trainer nodded and put the stone away. Snake cried out a move name but JJ didnt hear it. The gengar phased into the ground. Fire looked around for the pokemon but it was too late as Boogie appeared behind the charizard and clawed him. Fire let out a cry, JJ lurched forward over the console as if he was hurt too. The great orange pokemon hit the ground and was out. The gengar floated back to his master as Snake was walking onto the battlefield. JJ jumped over and was running to his partner. Snake watched as JJ began to heal up his charziard. She approached, clearing her throat to get the trainers attention.
“You fight with so much passion. I can see the strong bond between you and your pokemon.”
JJ closed his eyes for a moment then stood up turning to the champ. Fire was recovering and stood up as well, looming over his master.
“I guess there is a reason you are the champ.”
He chuckled, the brown skinned woman smiled as she pushed some of her dark brown hair out of her face. She was a bit taller then JJ and she lent down to him.
“I know that passion you have for your charizard. I have it with my gengar.”
She stood up and Boogie materialized beside her, putting his hand in hers. She looked at JJ then picked up her purple ghost, giving him a passionate kiss. The kiss ended and the gengar floated over Snake's shoulder. JJ looked up at Fire and he craned his head down. JJ rubbed under his chin and Fire nuzzled into his master's neck. JJ cleared his throat,
“What we do with our pokemon is taboo and could get us banned. But theres a strange spark of fire.”
Snake nodded to JJ,
“Ive seen so many trainers challenge me, only a small handful have shown the passion you have.”
She smiled again,
“I like you JJ. Fire has a great respect for you, I can feel it.”
Snake looked into Fire's blue eyes. The charizard bowed to Snake. Boogie looked over JJ sticking his massive tongue out at the trainer. The champ chuckled,
“That means he likes you don't worry.”
Snake began to walk to a door on the side, she motioned for JJ to follow her. The trainer followed and Fire was right behind him.

	After the battle the two talked in Snake's private room. They spoke about their love for their pokemon, JJ never really though he had a relationship with Fire but Snake could see it. They both loved each other like she loved her Boogie. In the days to follow the fight the two became very close friends. Snake helped JJ get stronger.
