As a fledgling love goddess, Khenok took it upon herself to visit the people of Egypt and make sure they had healthy love lives.
 That often included more… hands-on instructions, with a visitation from the goddess being considered a great honour and pleasure.
 But a young, inexperienced deity like her wandering around in the mortal realm could attract unsavoury figures, like it did today…

 As the immortal doe walked the streets of Djedet, a group of black-robed figures grabbed her from out of nowhere and pulled her into a dark alleyway between the sandstone buildings.
 Before Khenok could cry out for help, a strange flower was pressed under her nose.
 The sweet, mystical aroma swiftly sapped her divine strength away and slowly wrapped her in darkness, helpless as the hooded figured spirited her away, to enact their diabolical plan…

 The doe awoke in a dark shrine, finding herself bound and gagged with thick cloths and bolted onto a stone altar with golden bands. 
 “Mmnh? Hmmmph!” She whimpered into her gag, fearfully watching the hooded figures around her. “Pwmmf?”
 “Comfortable, Kehnok?” A woman in a more ornate robe ominously spoke. “No-one escapes the clutches of me, Ahset, thus denying the great Seth his sacrifice, without repercussion!”
 “Hhmmhf!” Khenok recognised the name of the dark priestess, and realised she had been captured by her before, narrowly avoiding having her divine powers stripped from her and offered to the god of chaos, Seth.
 “But rejoice! You miserable lowlife of a god will be part of something greater!” Ashet continued her dramatic monologue. “You will feed a fearsome beast from the underworld and make it invincible! After it has feasted on your power, I shall offer this Demon Of Sands to the mighty lord Seth, and with it, he will defeat the gods and take his rightful place as ruler of all realms!!”
 Mad cackling filled the room, leaving a frightened Khenok to futilely struggle against her bonds. “Nnnmm! Hlmmph! Mhnnh, hllmmmph mh!!”
 “Silence!” the evil priestess waved her hand to her followers, who started a deep, foreboding chanting. “We cannot keep Lord Seth waiting. Begin with the ceremony!”
 The hieroglyphs behind Ahset began and the dark jackal raised her hands to the air. “Khusetyu! Come forth!!”

 With bone-chilling roar, a massive scarab like creature appeared from the unnatural light the hieroglyphs emitted, legs flaying like scythes and foul slime oozing from its mandibles.
 “Obey your mistress! Devour this pathetic worm of a goddess, feast upon her power!!” At Ahset’s command, the monster screeched and readied itself to pounce towards the altar.
 …Only for a khopesh sword to cut through the air, pierce through the creature’s leg and embed itself deep into the wall, pinning down Khusetyu.

 “What!? Who dares!?!” Ahset exclaimed in outraged surprise, whirling around to see a muscular jackal smugly grinning in the hallway leading in and out of the sacrificial chamber. “I’ve come for my wife, Ahset. You are not to harm her if you value your soul…”
“Anu… not you again!” Ahset sneered. “Followers of Seth, rid me of this interfering pest!!”
 The robed women stormed at Anu, but the jackal effortlessly dodged and countered their blows and punched them to the floor.
 “No, you fool! You’re ruining everything!!” The head priestess snarled, charging the young god with a knife.
 Terrified for her husband’s life, Khenok cried out into her gag. “Mmhnh!!”
 But the son of Anubis was not fazed in the slightest.
 He held out his arms, let out a mighty bellow and a wide ray of light shone in front of him, a blast of energy that blew Ahset right across room.
 The evil woman flew right into the monstrous scarabs flailing legs, swatting her away and face-first into the wall.
 With a pitiful whimper, she fell on the floor, remaining unconscious.
  “No worry, darling, I got you!” Anu rushed over to his captive wife and ripped the golden bands that pinned her to the altar with his bare hands.
 But the doe didn’t seem as comforted by the heroic rescue. “Mhnh! Mh mmnphfr! Bhmmph ymh!” With her bound hands, she pointed at Khusetyu: the demon scarab was slowly tearing his pinned leg loose from the wall…

 “Uh-oh…” Anu gulped, letting go of his wife’s bindings and instead scooping her up in both arms. “Untying later, running now!”
  The monster pulled itself free, dazed from his sudden summoning and injury, but filled with rage and hurled itself at our heroes.
 Fortunately, the jackal was quick on his feet and bolted away from the altar, leaving Khusetyu to overshoot it and smash into the wall.
 Holding the still tied and gagged doe close to his chest, Anu barrelled down the sandstone hallways of the temple, growing more confident as they got closer to the streets.
 Khenok as well grew calmer, hearing the growing distance between them and the monster’s roars, and being held so close to her husband while still bound had her loving huddle closer against his muscular chest.

 Soon, they were standing in bright sunlight again.
 Anu turned around and smugly grinned, watching the temple’s entryway.
 Because when the demonic scarab emerged, it nearly instantly exploded into ash with a pained shriek.
 The beast was weakened by his forced journey across the realms and Ra’s divine sunlight had mercilessly finished off the dark creature.

 “There, that takes care of that.” Anu brought his wife’s face a bit closer to smooch her still-gagged lips. “Now, what are we to do with you, getting in trouble and scaring me so much?”
 The jackal god kept teasing her as they walked back to the portal he had created to enter the mortal realm and come to his wife’s aid. “I think, as punishment, I’m going to keep you all helplessly bound and gagged. Then I can keep you very close to me~”
 Khenok giggled under her gag, she didn’t mind this at all.
 That just meant she had a long night of getting cuddled and caressed by her handsome jackal husband ahead of her.
