Kaida's Date
Chapter 1: The Visit

Things have been quite peaceful at the Xiaolin Temple.  The young warriors have obtained most of the Sheng Gong Wu and the bad guys haven't been causing trouble, at least, not yet.

But today, Dojo receives some exciting news by letter.

Dojo: -reading the letter-  Dear Dojo, I've decided I'm going to come over from Japan to visit you.  After all these decades of writing to each other, I decided that it's time we met in person.  I will be over this Tuesday.  I look forward to meeting you.  See you then.  Your pen pal, Kaida Ryuko -stops reading- Tuesday?  That's today!
Clay: Hey, lil' buddy, whatcha readin'?
Dojo: -hides the letter- Nothing.
Raimondo: Come on.  Let us see.
Dojo: Nuh-uh!  No way!  It's private!
Kimiko: -grabs the letter, looks at it- It looks like a letter....from someone named Kaida Ryuko.
Dojo: -sighs-  You wanna know?  Fine.  Kaida is my Japanese pen pal.  Apparently, she's coming over here, today.
Raimondo: Have you even met this chick?
Dojo: No.  Not yet.  I don't even know what she looks like.  All I know is that she's a she.
Omi: I don't get it.  What is this "pencil pal"?
Kimiko: It's "pen pal".  A pen pal is a friend from far away that you write letters to.
Dojo: I don't know why, but I'm so nervous...-shaking- She doesn't know I'm a dragon.  What if I don't like her?  What if she doesn't like me?  What if...-gets cut off-
Clay: Whoa, there, lil pardner.  Don't get your tail in a twist.
Dojo: It already is.  -his tail got twisted-
Master Fung: -enters- Ah, there you are, Dojo.  There is someone outside waiting for you.  I believe her name is Kaida Ryuko.
Dojo: -untwists his tail-  She's here?!  Now?!
Kimiko: Why don't you introduce us to her?
Master Fung: That would be most courteous to do so.

-they all rush out to meet their new visitor-

-they see an old lady-

Old Lady: Is this the Xiaolin Temple I hear about?
Dojo: -sees the old lady-  Hmmm....you're not what I expected you to look like.
Old Lady: Oh, this?  It's just a disguise.  -shapeshifts into a beautiful female dragon with green scales, green eyes with yellow sclera, yellow whiskers and strawberry blonde hair tied in a ponytail-  There.  That's better.  Hi, I'm Kaida Ryuko.
Omi: Oohh!  She is a dragon!
Raimondo: A girl dragon.
Dojo: -stares at Kaida, his jaw dropped and his pupils turn into a pair of hearts-
Kaida: Now, which one of you is Dojo?
Kids: -all point to Dojo-  He is!
Dojo: -stammers-
Kaida: Hey there.  Name's Kaida.  -extends her hand for a handshake-
Dojo: -continues stammering-
Omi: Oh-ho-ho!  He is head over ankles for the new dragon!
Clay: "Head over heels".
Omi: That, too.
Kaida: -laughs-  That's so cute!  Ummm...Dojo?  -snaps her fingers-  Hello?  -shrugs-  Eh.  Anyway, do you guys have a room I can stay?
Omi: You are staying?
Kaida: Only for a week.
Dojo: -gets out of his trance-  A week?!
Kaida: Yeah.  And I'm wondering if you could give me a tour around the local town.
Dojo: Ummm….
Kimiko: Of course, he will!  Right, Dojo?
Dojo: Uhhh….sure, sure, why not?  -beads of nervous sweat roll down his face-
Kaida: Awesome!  How about tomorrow?
Dojo: -stammers-  Uhhh...OK.
Kaida: Great!  See ya, then.  -goes to find an empty room so she can settle in-
Clay: She seems nice.
Dojo: -groans-
