Undercom Story Part 21 Chapter 1: Last Goodbye (S.Chara’s Point of View) Me and the newfound R.Sans started our investigation… still feels weird having a Ghost Sans walking beside me. I mean, being the “Sans” of my timeline, I know about the existence of the Multiverse and other Alternate Universes… but never thought they would all get merged somehow… all because of the slimy Error Sans fucker… just thinking about it makes my fists ball up. *“Hey Chara, you good?” R.Sans snapped me outta my internal monologue. “Huh? Yeah… just… lost in thought.” I shook my head… *“Hey, don’t worry… we’ll find you're brother.” R.Sans reassured me. I nodded, and we pressed on. We passed by the Log Cabin I found after arriving in this world… no other signs of any activity… just the same old smell and mystery bodies. I scanned the immediate area… and saw shadows moving within the trees. “Wait… do you see movement in the trees?” I held up a hand. R.Sans looked long and hard in the direction I was fixed on. After a few minutes, R.Sans flinched. *“Yeah… someone, or thing, is out there.” He replied. We shared a nod and entered the forest… I could see him… or them, actually. A group wearing light battle armor and carrying strange weapons… almost like budget versions of the one’s in the Log Cabin. I almost Envy R.Sans, to be honest… being able to just float through objects makes it really easy to sneak around… I actually have to be careful not to step on a twig or something. Faintly, R.Sans stopped ahead of me, I caught up and saw a massive military camp. “Good god… what are they even going here?” I gasped. *“No idea… looks impor- wait a second… are those crates of Determination…?!?!” R.Sans gasped as well, pointing to a stack of crates filled with glowing white liquid. “How the hell did that stuff get on the surface? I thought it was all destroyed…” I mumbled, rubbing my chin. “I don’t think it was brought up... I think it was extracted…” R.Sans pointed towards the other side of the camp. There was a large table, with a small fluff- oh no the didden’t! “ASRIEL!!!” I screamed, jumping from the bushes, I charged into the camp, throwing knife barrages and cutting down anyone who got in my way. Most of the soldiers barely had time to react before being wiped out… I reached the table where my brother lay, hooked up to some mini Determination extraction machine. He was barely breathing… “No… no… no… nooo!” I detached the machine from him… but it was too late… I saw his feet turning to dust. I held him in my arms… not even responsive… time around me froze as my own brother slowly turned to a pile of dust… I fell to my knees, tears swelling up in my eyes… now hugging the rainbow scarf… I screamed into the sky… what the hell just happened? Why did these fuckers have him? What was he doing? My sadness slowly turned to rage…. Standing up, I looked off into the horizon… I think R.Sans was about to saw something, but I completely ignored him and ran off into the forest, tears still trailing behind me. Chapter 2: A Really… REALLY Bad Time. (C.Sans’s Point of View) When I stumbled outta my quarters, I saw Jax looking over a Datapad. Rolling my eyes, I approached him. *“Now what?” I mumbled… still half asleep. “It appears some Lancer Scouts found a destroyed Xcom camp… including more crates of Determination..” He explained. My eyes went dark. *“Where. Is. It?!” MY voice deepened. Jax showed me a map on the pad, a bright red dot marked the location of the Scout’s transmission. I snapped outta my trance. *“Ugh… right…. Let’s go.” I shook my head, my vision going normal. Jax nonned, and taking one more look at the map, I teleported the both of us to the location. “Mora doa, bala tan deoa?” Jax walked up to the Lancer Scout squad and asked them something… for a Human, his Advent Gibberish ain’t that bad. “Do las, mala ten beta los.” One of the Lancers replied, pointing to the east. “Mroa botas, la go.” Jax replied. The Lancers shrugged and went on their way. Then he turned to me. “They said the camp was to the east.” He reported. I nodded and we made our way over. AS soon as we found it, I eyes widened. The place really was a mess, glass everywhere, bullet holes in trees… and their it is, the crates of DT next to a unloaded truck. And… knifes? “Where did these come from?” Jax knelt down and tried grabbing one of the Knives, but it evropdeted into dust and blew off into the wind. “This is trippy…” He added. *“Magical knifes… why do I feel like another AU is involved?” I sighed at the thought. Just then, we heard a beeping from inside a tent. Drawing his homemade Laser Rifle, Jax approached it. He pulled the fabric door away, revealing a mini DT extractor. “Ugggggggggh….” Jax tilted his head. *“It’s a miniature model of the DT extractor Alphys had collecting dust in the True Lab… back in the Underground, that is.” I explained. “And Xcom somehow managed to make it? Oh, that’s just wonderful.” Jax sighed. He turned around to see some kinda torture table… he rubbed his hand along the edge, kicking up light grey… monster dust?! *“Whoa, whoa… hold on… this is the dust fo a Monster!” I ran up, took out a small test tube from my pocket, and filled half full of the dust. “What?” Jax looked confused again. *“Long story short, when Monsters die, they turn into dust. And this looks fresh… I should get this down to Alphys to figure out who it came from.” I put the tube back in my pocket. “Ah, I see… I’ll load the truck up and drive it to the Blacksite then.” Jax started loading the truck. *“You sure? I could teleport you back…” I offered Jax shook his head. “Nah, the empty lonely road may just be the thing I need to help clear my head.” He replied, finished loading the Truck, and jumped into the driver’s set. I shrugged and eyed the tube of dust I had in my pocket… sealed of course. I sighed and teleported myself to Alphys’s lab. I appeared at the door and hit the buzzer… after hearing something clang inside, I saw the Camera zoom in on me. *“Hey Alphys, I got something important to show ya.” I held up the Test Tube to the camera. “Sure… just let me get a station set up.” Her voice replied. Soon enough, the door hissed open, I stepped inside and was almost pummeled by Endogeny, his deep and echoing barks filling the halls. *“Yeah… hi… no, I don’t have any food… ugh… Alphys? Did you forget to feed them again!?” I shouted down the hall. Instead of Alphys, I was meet by Undyne, holding a bag of dog food. “Ha, sorry Sans! She’s been busy with some other project recently… alright, you big lug, let’s go.” Undyne dragged Endogeny away with the food. Wiping the Amalgamate sludge off my sweater, I found Alphys hunched over a lab table. *“So, you’ve been busy, eh?” I chuckled. Alphys being Alphys, she jumped and almost knocked over a set of beakers. “Well… ya, my work is never done! Anyway, what’s in that tube I saw on the camera?” Alphys laughed. I reached into my pocket, pulling out the tube. *“From what me and Jax found at some Xcom Camp, this is the dust from a Monster… no idea who it is, or where their from, but mind doing some tests?” I explained. Alphys took the tube. “Oh my goodness… of course, I’ll figure it out.” She quickly got to work. After about an hour of constant work, she finally shouted “Ah ha!” As she pulled up the results on her projector. *“Alright, what do we got?” I woke up from sleeping in a chair beside her. “Well, I wish I had better news… but you are correct, it is a Monster. But not from this world… as if that’s any better… but pretty much, he was the Aserial from Storyshift.” Alphys explained. I pulled out my *AU Guide For Dummies*, A gift from Ink Sans, and flipped through to Storyshift. After reading through it…. My eyes went dark… “Sans? SANS? Oh deer…” Alphys waved her arms in my face. Dropping the guide, the roof of the Lab opened up… Summoning a Giant Gaster Blaster, about twice the size of a normal one, I started flying in the direction of the Xcom HQ. Chapter 3: Holographic Decoy (Jax’s Point of View) After returning to the Blacksite and storing the DT in the vault, I took a deep breath… leaning against the door. I heard a wild scream… and look off in the distance to see… Sans? Flying a giant blaster thing in the direction of the Xcom HQ…? I shook my head… whatever he’s doing, I don’t want any part of it. Regardless, I got a message from Alphys on my phone… she finished the little project I gave her a few days ago. I took off my helmet and eyes the PCS slot I made on the back… I sighed, put it back on, and made my down to the lab. As I got there, the door was already unlocked. I walked down the halls, ignoring all they eyes watching me from the shadows. Finally, I found Alphys at a workbench. “Ah, there you are.” Alphys got up as she saw me approaching. She held up a small PCS chip. “So, it’s done then?” I asked. She nodded, and handed it to my. I took the chip in my hand, taking a deep breath, I plugged it into my helmet. My vision flashes blue, with walls of coding flowing down my visor. My armor went siff for a moment, forcing me to stay in place. After what felt like forever, my stasis broke, and i almost fell over… after a quick dial up effect, a small holographic figure appeared on the table beside myself and Alphys. Wearing Xcom armor, dark sunglasses, forward facing ball cap and a Xcom bandana. “Who, what, where, when, why?” The figure shouted, looking down on himself. “What happened? Why am I so small? Why are you two so big… Jax, what the hell?” He added. “Easy their bro, you went through some… troubling times, and well, you're mody and mind have been turned into a AI program. Wait… you remember being alive?” I explained… then got confused. “Hey, you did tell me to make him seientant.” Alphys reminded me. “Okay… let me get this straight, I died and you had me turned into a hologram!?”Jet shouted. “Pretty much, yeah.” I concluded. “Ugggh… my codeing hurts…” Jet mumbled… holding his head. I laughed. “Welcome back to the world of the living.” I smiled for the first time in weeks. Jet Disappeared and reappeared floating next to my right shoulder. “This… is gonna need some getting used to… you know, I was happily sleeping in the void until you pulled me back.” Jet crossed his arms. “Oh well, it’s better having you here.” I admitted. “Anyway, thanks Alphys, I’ll leave ya alone now.” I turned to her. She nodded and I left the lab. Apparently, Jet has some pretty fancy abilities not only can he appear as any shape he pleases, being pocket size or human size, but he can also control aspects of my armor, like shield control. I guess since he’s plugged into it… that would make sense. I guess we’ll have to work on taking advantage of that. By the time we got to the Blacksite, Sans was back from his trip. “The hell happened to you? I saw you flying towards the Xcom HQ…” I asked him. *“Yes… well… apparently that dust we found was a monster after all.” Sans coughed lightly. “Oh… I see…” I replied… I know how much Sans values the lives of the Monsters at the settlements, so this might as well be personal for him. *“At any rate, I see you're project got completed.” Sans crossed his arms. Jet appeared full size beside me. “Sans…” He mumbled. *“You're lucky you're a hologram now, you know that?” Sans scoffed. “Alright, alright relax.” I butted in. Sans sighed. “This is different now, okay?” I added. *“Alright, I trust you… but you should really be worried about Sofia and Kayla.” Sans reminded me. “Who?” Jet asked. “Nevermind… anyway, I’m gonna get you hooked up to the Blacksite network.” I replied, walking off. I could feel Sans’s eyes watching me as I entered my quarters. Chapter 4: Guardian Angel (Alice’s Point of View) You know… if someone would of told me that I was gonna meet my biological mother a week ago, I would of laughed in their face. But honestly, it’s nice knowing she’s around. The Caretaker that used to watch over me was nice and all, but I guess I never got to know what it’s like having a real mother. Speaking off, the Caretaker was allowed to move back to Canada… apparently she has family there. Me and Sofia spend hours catching up… but it feels weird that I’m so old, and she’s still young. She remembers dropping me off here when I was only a year old, but that was 5 years ago… how the heck am I 18? Almost 19, too…. Laugh all you want, but my birthday is April 1st… just a few weeks away. Regardless, after catching up, my mom had to return to her camp to give them an update. So, in my boredom, I decided to take a bit of a walk. I used to walk around the edges of Springfield a lot, watching the distant settlement where that Chara girl is from. I still about the conversation we had… and she had a monster brother… I think that’s what she said… either way, it sounds exciting. I’ve known they existed before meeting Chara, but now I might have the chance to see one in person. Lost in my day dreaming, I heard something snap behind me… but before I could react, a creepy dark form appeared behind me. I turned around solely to be face to face with a pure black…. Something… with a single blue eye. *“Well, well, well… if it isn't a lone human, alone all by herself… what a shame.” The thing’s deep voice echoed in my ears. “And… what exactly are you…?” I held my ground… secretly terrified. *“The stuff of nightmares!” The from screamed, and launched some kinda laser blast at me. Thankfully for me, I played a ton of sports back in my childhood… well, what I can remember from it at least. I may not be a superhero, but I had enough reflexes to dive out of the way, landing hard on my side. The thing growled, and charged right at me… I closed my eyes, and braced for it, but almost had a heart attack as a blinding white flash came up from my right. I opened my eyes to see a tall fluffy person- wait, fluffy? People aren't fluffy… I rubbed my eyes and looked again… nope, still fluffy… but this time, I picked out a tail and horns. Well I’ll be damned… it’s an actual monster! Looks like like a goat, to be honest. “Hey, that's pretty cool!” I shouted. The Goat person looked behind him to see me, and almost looked surprised… guess he didn't see me at first? “Um… might wanna look out!” I pointed back in the direction of the creepy guy, and the Goat person looked back to get blindsided by another blaster shot. To my surprise, he just got back up, and shook it off. After looking again, I noticed he even had wings. I watched in awe as the Goat launched himself into the air, held out his hands, and fired red and black magic missle things from his hands, all nailing the creepy dude, who stumbled back and sighed. *“Oh forget this… I could grind you to dust, but it’s honestly not worth it.” The thing gumbled and disappeared into thin air. After which the Goat dude shrunk in size and turn into a teenage goat person, just barely taller than me. “That was so cool! Like my own guardian angel!” I screamed like a little girl… I mean… I am a girl, at least. “Oh that? Ugh… don’t mention it… just venting some rage.” The goat person replied, holding his wrist. “I don’t care what that was! It was awesome and you saved me!” I replied. “Oh… I’m Alice by the way, Alice Firestar.” I added. “Ugh… I’m Asriel Dreemurr I guess… Underfull Asriel Dreemurr.” Asriel replied. “Oooooh! You're the goat dude Chara told me about!” I finally noticed. “Wait? My sister told you… about me?” He sounded confused. “Yeah, we meet in Springfield a few days ago, told me a lot about you.” I reaped myslef. “That’s… surprising…” Asriel tilted his head. “How so?” I asked. “Well… let’s just say something bad happened some time ago… and I might of lashed out at everyone..” Asriel mumbled. I frowed. “And what did you do?” I crossed my arms. “Either way… I ran away… I just didn't want to face them again.” Asriel Explained. “And you're from the settlement nearby?” I asked. “I guess...” He mumbled. I suddenly grabbed him by the arm and dragged him over to the Settlement’s main house. “Hey! What are you-” Asriel shouted. “You're going back home and apologising! You can’t run from your problems!” I explained. I dragged him all the way to the house and stopped near the door. “Now, knock on the door and apologize! I know you want to!” I put my hands on my hip. “But-” Asriel started, but stopped after I raised an eyebrow at him. With a heavy sigh, he knocked lightly. After a few minutes, the door opened to Chara, Asriel’s sister. “Asriel? And… Alice…?” Chara’s eyes narrowed. “Wait… what?” A voice from within said. Soon, two more people entered the doorway, slightly younger than Chara. “Listen… long story…” Asriel mumbled. “Hey… you know what you need to say!” I stomped my foot. “What is even happening…?” One of the younger people asked. “I ugh… I guess I just wanted to apologize for what I did… and I feel terrible for running, believe me, it was rather shameful of me…” Asriel explained. Soon, a fourth member showed up, a girl this time. “Oh… this is… awkward..” She trailed off. “Asriel is here… apologizing…?” One of the guys concluded. “Really?” The girl tilted her head. “Why do I have a feeling you had something to do with it?” Chara asked me. “Mayyyyyybe…” I laughed. “Well, at the end of the day, although it did hurt, shit happens ya know?” The girl explained. “You mean… I can come back?” Asriel’s eyes lit up. “Of course you can! Just, relax next time, eh?” Chara bursted out. “Hopefully there won't be a next time…” Asriel mumbled. “There! Was that so hard!?” I shoved Asriel lightly. Suddenly, I remembered something. I quickly got out a pen and started writing my phone number on Asriel’s shirt. “Ugh… I gotta go, but call me sometime, eh? I’d love to learn more about you're merry little family here.” I winked and started walking away. Asriel was left speechless at the door, and Chara even tried waving her hand in his face. I giggled and gave a little sway in my hips before I entered Springfield.
