Talon the griffin had returned to Shadow Arcangel to complain a little to his creator, Bucky. "It's not fair, master. Now even Lucky has a power, I've heard. How come all I got is... icky talons?" he asked. Bucky rolled his eyes as he sat and listened to him. "You know, it's not every rodent that can give life to inanimate tissue. How about a thank you instead of complaining?" he griped, "You can fly. That's your power." he said, getting up and walking away. Zipp was flitting nearby. "I know how you feel! I always wanted to shoot lasers out of my eyes! Hey, why don't we get Vortex to give us powers? He's Bucky's apprentice!" he suggested. "Sssstuff it, Zipp!" Vortex shouted from the nearby hallway. Talon frowned. "I mean, flying's cool and all, but... TAILS overpowered me and locked me in a bunker for wimps during Eggman's invasion. And I THANKED him. I'm way too weak..." he muttered. Zipp rubbed his chin. "Yeeees... Tell ya what. I'll teach you to shoot. As my brother, I'll do ya this solid... We can use 'Tex's pictures of Whisk for target practice. He needs to move on." he sniggered. "I'll sssshoot you if you touch them!" Vortex hissed.

So, they moved to the lower levels of the Arcangel, where Zipp set up a shooting range using Sonic, Tails and Knuckles dolls. "I wonder if Sonic sees any moolah from all his merch? Oh well..." Zipp mumbled, expertly shooting a distant Sonic doll between the eyes with a pistol. "Much easier when he doesn't move! You try, with this!" he said, tossing Talon a basic Wispon, which only shot a weak laser. Talon carefully aimed at a Knuckles doll; he could recall having some troubles with Knuckles before. Or was it Punchy? At any rate, his shot cleanly missed, and Zipp shook his head. "Compensate for the knockback... Angle for distance... C'mon, like this!" he said, lifting a shotgun and blowing the head off a Tails doll. Talon gulped. "I'm not sure I wanna do that kinda damage..." he murmured. "Can I try?" came the voice of Lospecter behind them! They jumped, turning to face him. "What's this mess you boys put in my old rumpus room?? Can't a ghost fetch something from his old apartment in peace?!"

Lospecter held up the Chaos Key and turned it, opening a sort of rift in front of them. "I'm unlocking the memory of the Arcangel to pick up an old toy... Check her out!" he cackled as the draconic form of Gemini as a Lost One emerged! "Ohhh, this thing?! Can't we leave her dragon form in the past! Well, time for practical application of skills!" Zipp said, shooting the dragon a couple times, only for its wounds to rapidly heal with fresh slime. "Isn't she a doll? Sic em, Los Gemini!" Lospecter ordered. Zipp turned and flew away quickly. "Have fun! I'm gonna alert the boss!" he shouted. Talon yelped and tried to follow, but the dragon pounced on him, holding him down! "Aaaah!! No! Don't eat me! I-I'm nobody! Just leave me be!" he stammered. "Nobody, huh? Prime Lost One material!" Lospecter smirked. Talon gasped and started hitting at the dragon as it held him down. "No!! Nooo!!" he cried, his talons slashing through his gloves as he fought to escape. Lospecter watched with a smirk, but his eyes widened as he noticed something. In Talon's desperation, his talons began to glow. "G-get... OFF!!" he yelled, his talons becoming shimmering claws that tore through the dragon's arm, allowing him to crawl away! "H-huh? How'd I...?" Before anything else could happen, Vortex blasted the dragon with Chaos Inferno, reducing the wounded beast into a puddle of slime. "Ssstop coming onto thisss ssship!" he hissed. Lospecter shrugged. "Whatevs... I mean, I wanted a Gemini who'd work for me, but I guess we can't all get what we want..." he said, flying off through the wall. Talon glanced back at Vortex and Zipp with surprise in his eyes. "Sssso, ssseemsss you've got power like the Chaosss Clawsss, kiddo." Vortex stated. Talon nodded slowly. "Be nice if someone told me sooner... But maybe I can still use these targets to practice after all..." he smiled.
