Antomy of the Leviathan A Furside Tale by Misterebony When the Furs first came to earth, there were no fish, and no birds. The furs were basic mammals, most of which looked like plushies or regl gods... or a rather odd mix of both. But further study of the dimension called New Terra has shown that there ARE other creatures. One of the most unique and amazing of these is the Leviathan, a massive whalelike creature with no digestive track and seemingly no way of getting nourishment. FUrther study, however, showed this was not the case. his was a creature that, truly and wholeheartedly, fed on positive energy, using it to propel itself through the vast oceans. The appearence is that of a large blue whale, only as big as the old world skyscrapers of legend, able to hold around 25000 passengers in it's innards at all times. This unique creature is only semi-sentient, and was a marvel to observe. It's purpose, however, is not as marvelous as it is practical. After all, where can one have the most fun out at sea? On a cruise! The Leviathan species, therefore, have become living crew ships. BACKGROUND Leviathans were born, based on original tales, on the core world of the furs. The uneducated miscuseof the Leviathans turned them into part of the harbringers of the planet's destruction, ther hungry rage for pleasure and joy inside of them making them insane. Vast tidal waves occured, destroying 89% of land. Combine this with the pollution levels of the radicals who sought to return to the old ways of the furs and the original homeworld was rendered uninhabitable. Attempts to terraform the land have met with the resistance of the insane legions of the core world. But the Leviathan was not a casulty of this. Several transports managed to carry a dozen of these creatures, eventually reaching Earth sometime after the discovery of the reformaton pill. Scans of the ocean revealed that the water was perfect for the Leviathan's survival, and since they fed more on emotion than on actual food while being to large and powerful to risk being attacked, the effect on the eco system of the ocean was minimal. All 12 Leviathans were deposited in the oceans, and began to make cycles around the world. By the present day, the 12 beings were a regular cruise line, many of which stopping in Furside at set times. ACCOMADATIONS The Leviathan creature is quite unusual, inside and out. At first glance it looks like a large sperm whale crossed with a blue whale, with much of its outer hide hard and barnacle covered. Inside is another story. The entry way through the mouth alone is more like the entrance to a vast hall than the inside of a hungry creature. Once past this vast pink ampitheatre of flesh and teeth, however, things get very strange. All of the creatures muscles focus on movement through the sea, and running energy fueled blood throughout the system, so the residents inside the creature are unaffected by the suction of swallowing or muscle movement. In essence, what should be the digestive system seems more like a conecting hallway to various themed chambers of the creature. And these chambers are widely varied. One chamber houses warm pools of water for bathing or swimming, another is squishy and serves as a play area, while some smaller chambers can be sealed for... intimate encounters. On the Leviathan XXX, these chambers are usualy guarded by bunnies. The weirdest chamber of all is the large stomach area, which in all creatures serves as a galley. Heat flows here naturally, fueled by the pleasure and joy of the crew and visitors. The cooking environments, therefore, are the most economical of any in the world. Kitchens are built to harness this natural heat, which would not function anywhere else in the world. The galley itself is large and roomy, many of whih using fleshy portions of the chamber as a sort of dinner theatre. Believe it or not, however, the most unusual function is the "engine room", a chamber of organs and the center of blood flow. Here, a specialized team of doctors monitor the health of the creature. If it is believed that the creature doe snot have enough joy, emergency sirens placed around the innards of the Leviathan are sounded, signaling an abandon ship of all child personel. All adults are then encouraged to... Well, you egt the idea. The engine room also is the power center, with on board generators controlling all power not controlled by the inner system, many with enough fuel for 3 years. These generators run allpower based functions in the creature, including game rooms and lighting in some areas. MAJOR FACTS At present, 14 Leviathans sail the world, each unique. They include a kids only leviathan filled with toys and games, run generally by furs with... extra padding. They also include the XXX, a sex ship devoted to singles and bunnies. Only one incident has ever occured on Earth: One of the Leviathans, the Gold, ran aground due to excessive feeding by the creature. The Gold sadly died of her wounds. Three smaller Leviathans have been born recently. All three are privately owned and are exclusive for monthy buisness parties. A Leviathan is neither male or female. They reproduce only when they feed excessively. During this time they are blinded for 8 hours. Newly born Leviathans are able to hold only 80 or so creatures inside them, and are about the size of a mall. Leviathans are but one example of sea life from the Fur society. In aquariums and zoos are also Undine, a race of intelligent fish that have hume-like features. They rearesent, unfortunetly, one of the few dangers of the sea in this era, since most Undine eat their meals slowly, taking months to finish them, slowing reformation. Most passengers on Leviathans are humes, while the crew is 99% fur. This is not because of racism, but because humans naturally have more fun with some of the things offered in a Leviathan. Leviathans back on the Fur Coreworld have been extinct for some time, most eaten by he feral residents. Leviathan-like creatures are not solely in this universe. The Mau Sara universe (Basis for Scarcraft games), has creatures called Overlords which transport creatures inside them. Also an example are the plane girls from another dimension, giant women with inborn engines and wings for flight. A Leviathan has no weapons nor can it carry any. Attempts in the past to rig weapons on a Leviathan resulted in creature sickness and near death. (Wanna see a story about a Leviathan trip? Let me know!)
