"How mwuch wonger, mama?"

A young adult female, named Kira, smiles as she looks down at her little boy, named Samuel. She gently rubs her pregnant belly and feels another hand from behind, rubbing her belly also.

"Any day now, sweetheart..."

A young male hedgehog, named Sonic, smirks a bit as he leans against the side of his hammock, which Kira was laying in.

"Seems our little scamp is getting impatient~"

Kira smirks also as she looks up at Sonic.

"Oh, I wonder where he gets that from~"

Sonic continues to smirk and gently kisses Kira's head before walking in front of her and squatting down to Samuel's level. He kisses Samuel's muzzle and whispers to him.

"I bet you can't wait to see your little brother or sister..."

Samuel wags his tail and smiles up at Sonic as he jumps up and down a bit.

"Me cwan't wait, daddy!"

Sonic chuckles and soon notices Samuel reaching up to Kira.

"Let me help ya up, scamp~"

He gently picks Samuel up and lays him in the hammock next to Kira before gently placing his hand against Kira's belly. Sonic soon wags his tail as he feels a few kicks.

"Whoa! This baby's got some serious kicking power~!"

Samuel giggles as he places a hand on Kira's belly also.

"Bwaby gwonna kwick Eggman's bwutt, daddy!"

Sonic chuckles nervously as he notices Kira glaring in his direction.

"Sonic... what did I say about teaching Samuel these catchphrases? He's still a bit too young to use them..."

"Eheh... s-sorry hun."

Samuel giggles again and Sonic kisses Kira's belly before walking towards the entrance of his shack. He smiles back at Samuel as he notices him nuzzling into Kira's belly and Kira was kissing his head.

"Do you want me to get you anything, honey?"

Kira smiles up at Sonic, sighing happily as she does so.

"Could I have a glass of water, please?"

"Of course... what about you, little man?"

Samuel continues to nuzzle into Kira's belly and looks up a bit.

"Nwo fank wou, daddy!"

Sonic chuckles as he heads out of the shack and towards Tails' hut.

Kira smiles down at Samuel and gently rubs his quills.

"You're being such a good boy with this situation, Sammy..."

Samuel wags his tail and looks up at Kira, smiling widely.

"Fanks, mama!"

Kira giggles a bit and holds Samuel close to her belly, wrapping her arm around him.

"Now, mommy's feeling a bit sleepy so how about we take a little nap together?"

"Owk mama! Me fweel sweepy too..."

Kira smiles and gives Samuel a kiss on his head as he yawns. She then closes her eyes.

"Night sweetie..."

"Nwight nwight, mama!"

A little while later, Sonic returns with the water and smiles as he notices Kira and Samuel asleep.

"Aww..."

He tiptoes over to the hammock and places the glass of water on a chair next to it. He then sits down on another chair next to the hammock and watches the two mobians resting.

A few minutes later, Sonic feels his ears perk as Kira begins to groan a bit. He stands up and places a hand onto hers and notices Kira begin to relax a bit. Before he sits down, however, he soon stands up again as hears Kira groaning once again. She soon wakes up with wide eyes and begins to pant, gritting her teeth a bit.

Sonic lowers his ears and gently holds her hand in his.

"Kira! What's wrong?!"

Before Kira could answer, Sonic notices a small puddle gather beneath her on the floor and Kira beginning to yell out in pain.

"Oh no..."

Kira lowers her ears and begins to sweat as she turns to Sonic, a worried look in her eyes.

"S-Sonic... I think the baby's coming-- ah!!!"

Samuel, who was asleep, soon feels his ears perk up from Kira's scream. He wakes up and lowers his ears as he hears Kira screaming. He worriedly looks up at her.

"M-mama! What wong?!"

Kira pants a bit but smiles softly as she takes Samuel's hand into her own.

"D-Don't worry, s-sweetie... it's time for your l-little brother or sister to be born..."

Samuel sniffs and soon feels some tears trickle down his muzzle.

"B-bwut... w-wou in pwain!"

Kira grits her a teeth as she feels another contraction and continues to smile at Samuel.

"I know, sweetie... having a b-baby is quite p-painful. But I promise that I'll be alright, ok?"

Samuel sniffs again and looks back at Sonic, who was rapidly dialing numbers into his phone. He soon begins to talk to the doctor on the phone and then ends the conversation.

"Alright, Ginger is packing her things and I'm gonna go and pick her up and bring her here..."

Kira looks down at Samuel, who was still sniffing and gently rubs his ear.

"B-but what about Sammy?"

"Don't worry, I've arranged Tails to come over and take him into the village."

Kira nods before grunting and holding onto her belly, feeling another contraction.

A few minutes later, Tails runs in through the shack's entrance and pants a bit from the running.

"S-Sonic! I got here as fast as I could..."

Sonic, who was beginning to panic a bit, nods as he holds onto Kira's hand.

"Tails... can you take Sammy to the village whilst this is happening?"

"Sure."

Samuel watches as Tails walks over and holds onto Kira, not wanting to leave her.

"N-nwo! Mama hwurt, me stay!"

Sonic sighs a bit and gently places a hand on his shoulder.

"Sammy... mommy is going into labour. She's going to be in a lot of pain but it's for the best if the grown-ups handle it. You understand?"

Samuel sniffs again and rubs his eyes with his hands.

"B-bwut mama--"

Sonic picks up Samuel and gently rocks him in his arms, attempting to comfort him.

"She'll be ok, Sammy. She's given birth before..."

Samuel nods a bit as he sniffs again and nuzzles his head into Sonic's chest. He soon begins to whimper as he feels Sonic handing him to Tails. He turns back to Kira and reaches for her. Tails walks over to her and Kira smiles a bit as she gently runs a hand across Samuel's muzzle.

"Sammy... be a good boy for Uncle Tails, ok?"

Samuel sniffs and nods.

"Me will, mama..."

Kira kisses Samuel's head and Sonic walks over, kissing Samuel's head also.

"Don't worry, Sammy... we'll both see you again in a few hours. With your little brother or sister..."

Samuel nods again as he nuzzles into Tails' chest fur a little.

"Owk daddy..."

"Thanks Tails... I'll let you know how the birth goes later on."

"No problem, Sonic... see you both later and Kira, good luck!"

Tails smiles a bit as he holds Samuel in his arms and begins to walk back to the village.

Sonic smiles as he waves to Samuel and soon turns back to Kira and begins talking to her.

"I'm going to get Ginger now, ok, honey? I won't be long..."

Kira nods as she continues to pant.

"O-ok..."

A couple of minutes later, Kira begins to scream out as the contractions become much stronger and more painful. At the same time, Sonic runs back into the shack and places Ginger down. He then runs over to Kira and gently holds her hand.

"It's alright, honey... I'm here."

Kira pants and begins to whimper in pain as she feels another contraction. Ginger walks over and checks Kira's lower region before smiling up at her.


"Ok Kira, I think you're almost ready for a push..."

Kira nods and turns to Sonic, lowering her ears as she holds onto Sonic's hand.

"S-Sonic... I'm s-scared..."

Sonic sits on the chair beside her and uses his free hand to gently caress her head.

"Don't worry, sweetheart... you're gonna be ok."

Ginger smiles as she looks up at Kira.

"Ok, it looks like Kira's ready to push..."

"A couple more pushes, Kira! You're doing really well!"

Kira screams out in pain as she pushes for another time and soon throws her head back against the pillow as Ginger looks up.

"Very good! The baby is crowning..."

As Kira pants and prepares for the final push, Sonic looks around at Ginger and soon smiles as he notices the baby's head getting closer.

"I can see it! Just one more, honey... you can do it!"

Kira grits her teeth and pushes for a final time, yelling out in pain. A few seconds later, Kira pants and rests her head against the pillow as she hears a small but loud crying sound.

Ginger smiles as she gently holds the hedgehoglet in her arms. She giggles a bit as the hedgehoglet kicks its feet.

"You did very well, Kira! You have a healthy little girl..."

Kira smiles softly and watches as Sonic walks over to Ginger. He looks over her shoulder and wags his tail as he sees the little crying hedgehoglet in her arms. Ginger turns to Sonic and smiles as she holds out the little female.

"Sonic? Would you like to cut her cord?"

Sonic smiles down at the hedgehoglet and gently caresses her muzzle before looking up at Ginger.

"I'd love to."

Ginger nods and hands Sonic a little pair of scissors and watches as he cuts the cord. She then takes the scissors from him and places them down before handing the little infant to Sonic.

"There we go... you're with daddy now, sweetheart~"

Sonic continues to wag his tail as he looks down at the little female. The newborn was lilac in colour with pale purple stripes and a pale skin complexion, similiar to Sonic's. As Sonic marvels over the little hedgehoglet's appearence, he begins to walk over to Kira and gently kisses the newborn's forehead.

Kira pants a bit as she looks towards Sonic.

"S-Sonic? Is s-she ok?"

As Sonic approaches Kira, he holds the little hedgehoglet to her eye level and smiles before placing a kiss upon Kira's head.

"She's more than ok, honey... she's beautiful."

The little girl continues to cry and Kira begins to feel tears trickle down her muzzle as she looks down at the infant, a small smile appearing on her face. 

"Oh Sonic... she's perfect. Hello, little angel~"

The little newborn squeals a bit as she feels Kira's finger against her muzzle. Kira giggles a bit as Sonic lays her in her arms and the little girl kicks her feet before wriggling around. Ginger smiles as she heads to the door and turns back to the hedgies.

"I'll leave you three alone..."

Sonic and Kira both smile and nod as Ginger walks out of the door and shuts it behind her. Kira looks down at the little girl and giggles a bit as she was still proceeding to kick her feet.

"It seems that she has your impatient nature too, honey~"

Sonic chuckles a bit and kneels down beside Kira. He soon sniffs as he feels a few tears drip down his muzzle. He hands the little infant to Kira before using his hand to wipe away some of his tears. 

"Y-yeah... she's perfect."

Kira smiles and gently runs her hand against Sonic's muzzle.

"Aww honey... you big softy~"

Sonic blushes a bit from the comment but soon looks down at the little hedgehoglet. He gently tickles her hand with his finger and gasps as she gently wraps her tiny fingers around Sonic's finger.

"Wow... would you look at that, honey? She has a great grip, despite only just being born." 

Kira giggles a bit as she looks down at the little female, who was making small squeaking sounds as she was still gripping Sonic's finger.

"That's your daddy, angel... he's quite impatient, like you were~"

Sonic smirks and chuckles as he gently kisses Kira's muzzle.

"And this is your mommy, a very cheeky girl, like you~"

Kira giggles a bit and soon lowers her ears as the little hedgehoglet begins to whimper and wriggle around in her arms. Sonic looks down worriedly at the infant and gently rubs her belly with his hand.

"What's the matter, princess?"

The little female continues to whimper and the adult mobians both soon gasp and look down as a stream of yellow liquid comes out of the hedgehoglet's lower region. Sonic chuckles a bit and uses a blanket to cover her lower region.

"I guess she just needed to tinkle..."

Kira giggles and gently rocks the little female as she continues to whimper.

"Aww, it's ok, angel... we all gotta go sometime."

Sonic chuckles once again and soon removes the blanket. Kira smiles down at the little girl, as she kicks her feet once again, before looking over at Sonic.

"Sweetie? I think our little angel needs a diaper..."

"Exactly what I was thinking, babe..."

A few minutes after the little hedgehoglet was bathed by the nurse, she cries out and the nurse lays her down onto a changing mat before looking at Sonic.

"Sonic? Would you like to do the first change?"

The blue blur smiles as he walks over.

"Of course."

The nurse smiles and steps back as Sonic tapes the diaper onto the little hedgehoglet. He then picks up a little pink babysuit and attempts to dress her up in it. The little female whines and kicks her feet. Sonic chuckles a bit as he tries to button up her babysuit.

"Come on sweetie, don't make this more difficult for daddy..."

The nurse giggles a bit and soon turns to the door as she notices a young fox and little hedgehoglet. She smiles and motions for them to enter.

The little hedgehoglet, named Samuel, lets go of Tails' hand and runs over to Sonic. He hugs his leg and sobs a bit.

"Daddy!"

Sonic, who was carrying the little female hedgehoglet, smiles as he looks down at Samuel.

"Hey, little buddy, we missed you! Hey Tails!"

Samuel looks up and lets go of Sonic's leg as he starts to walk over to a chair next to Kira. He sits down before handing the little newborn to Kira and reaches down to Samuel, picking him up. Tails smiles as he walks over too and looks down at the little newborn.

"Aww... she's so cute, guys."

Samuel looks over at the little newborn and leans closer as Sonic holds him on his lap. 

"That's your little sister..."

Samuel gently pokes the little newborn's nose and giggles as she sneezes. Sonic chuckles and Kira giggles as Kazu snuffles a bit. Doctor Ginger smiles from the sight and walks over to the door.

"I'll leave you alone."

As Ginger leaves, the little newborn begins to cry. Kira looks down and lowers her ears as she gently rocks her.

"Are you hungry, sweetie?"

Tails giggles and soon blushes as Kira begins to allow the little newborn to feed off her.

"Uh, I'll... leave you to it, Kira."

Kira looks over and smiles a bit.

"It's ok Tails... I don't mind."

Samuel giggles a bit also and crawls onto the bed. Kira wraps an arm around him and watches as he leans in and kisses the little newborn's muzzle. The little female soon reaches out and grabs Samuel's nose with her hand. She squeezes it a bit and Samuel soon begins to cry.

Sonic smiles nervously and gently picks Samuel up before bringing him into a cuddle. 

"Aww... it's ok, Sammy. She didn't mean to hurt you..."

Samuel sniffles and holds onto Sonic as he looks up at Kira.

"That could have gone better, I think..."

Kira giggles a bit and looks down as the little newborn finishes feeding. 

"What should we call her, honey?"

"I think we should go with the name we originally had... Kazumi, maybe Kazu for short." 

Kira smiles up at Sonic and Tails before looking down at the little infant. 

"I think it's a perfect name. Sammy? You're a big brother now..."

Samuel, who had calmed down a bit, reaches out to Kira and crawls over as Sonic places him back onto the bed.

"Me... a bwother?"

"Yes."

"Cwan me hwelp to twake cware of her?"

"Of course, sweetie, we'll need your help after all!"

Samuel smiles and wags his tail as looks down at Kazu.

"Me won't wet you down, mama."
