That single sentence intensified my previous fear. "W-What's wrong, ma'am?" Nekko asked Alex. "We went to find the king, and while we were successful to a degree, mother was unfortunately... captured," my sister informed us. My eyes grew wide. My mom was captured? No, no this couldn't be happening. Before I knew it, Alex was in front of me as she hugged me. "She'll be okay. This is only a minor setback." She tried to assure me, but even my younger self could tell there was fear in her voice. She was just trying to be the mature one around here. "W-What do we do now...?" I asked. "We get her out. Together. And I have a plan." my sis answered. "Madame, I don't think it's wise to do that. Let the royal forces take care of the issue." The doc tried to reason. "No. We can do this, I know it; we just have to figure out a way to sneak into the area where she's being held, take out any foes any way we can and get her out." Alex was determined. Nekko was going to say something against the plan, but then we heard a young voice yell frantically outside. "Someone, help!!" The person urged. I immediately open the front door to see a young cat boy being chased by two royal guards. "They're chasing him just like they were with me. What's going on...?" I thought in my head. This all made no sense; Nekko said the king was looking for my necklace, but... The king was my dad. Not only that, but he was missing most of this time. Perhaps Dr. Nekko meant another king? "We have to help him!" I was broken from my confused stupor by Alex telling us that as she rushed ahead. I could help, but... I didn't know whether I should take the guards down, or just grab the kid and hide him away.
