The Lab was eerily quiet. Usually Alphys and her cohorts would be there to do whatever royal sciencey stuff of the day was on the table but today no one was there. Undyne made a sight. Of course she would be caught up with the latest hot anime. She always did. Undyne approached Alphys' room. The door was closed but Undyne could hear the telltale sounds of someone watching cartoons inside.

* Ah, who's there? Sorry, just a moment.

Undyne could hear the tv being shutoff and footsteps approaching the door from the other side.

* It's me, Undyne. Look, I have an important message from Asgore.

The door opened with a hiss, revealing Alphys on the other side. The dinosaur looked like she hasn't slept in a while.

* H-hi Undyne. Sorry, I was watching some Gundam cartoons all day. It's so exciting. Giant robots rumbling around. I gotta invent one of those someday and---

* Whatever you say Alphys. Now, Asgore requires your presence in the throne room.

* Oh dear, what this could mean? Did someone fall ill?

* He didn't say. He said that he wanted to discuss it with you alone.

Alphys noticeably corrected her posture, looking less like a nerdy lizard she was.

* In that case, I suppose I must go to him at once. While I'm gone, could you, umm, look after them? You know what I mean.

* Yes... But if I get any scratches or bruises, it'll be your own fault, understand?

Alphys saluted as best as she could before leaving her Lab and towards Asgore's palace, wondering what important matters he had on hand.
