"Sonic, have you got the bathing equipment?"

One day in Knothole, a young purple-furred hedgehog, named Kira, smiles as she looks back at the young male hedgehog. Sonic, the name of the young male who was holding a box, turns around and makes a nervous expression as he puts the box down.

"Uhh... sorry Kira, I haven't been to the storage room yet. Be back in a Sonic second!"

Kira tuts and shakes her head as Sonic runs off. She looks down at a baby hedgehoglet, who was laying on the carpet upon on a small blanket. 

"Daddy can be a bit silly sometimes, can't he?"

The little hedgehoglet, who was a dark shade of blue and had blue eyes, coos as he looks up at Kira and sucks his thumb. Kira giggles a bit as she kisses the little hedgehoglet's cheek.

After a few minutes, the little hedgehoglet, named Samuel, whimpers as he wriggles around on the blanket, beginning to get impatient. Kira gently runs a hand against Samuel's muzzle.

"Don't worry sweetie, daddy will be back soon."

Kira turns around and picks up a towel, laying it across the ground. She then drags a small wooden tub over and begins to pour some warm water into it. Kira then uses her elbow to check the temperature before looking over at Samuel.

"Your bath is nearly ready, sweetie... we just need daddy to come back."

Samuel, who was getting more impatient by the minute, cries even louder and pounds his fists against the carpet. Kira gasps and runs over, kneeling down in front of him.

"Shh... it's alright, sweetpea."

After a few more minutes, Sonic runs back into the hut, holding a bottle of shower gel, a clean towel, a cloth and a clean outfit for Samuel. He puts the items down and look over as he notices Kira holding Samuel on her shoulder and rubbing his back, with a slightly stern expression on her face. 

"There you are... what took you so long, honey?"

Sonic puts a hand behind his head as he walks over.

"Sorry... I had to find the shampoo, it wasn't in the usual place."

Kira smiles a bit as she lays Samuel back down onto the blanket.

"It's alright. Now let's get our little sweetie clean..."

Sonic smiles and nods as he walks over, scooping Samuel up into his arms. He slowly bounces him up and down and kisses his cheek. 

Samuel continues to cry and wriggles around in Sonic's arms. The blue blur lowers his ears as he lays Samuel back down onto the blanket before removing his diaper and putting it into a bag.

"Easy, little guy... it'll be okay."

Samuel sniffs as Sonic picks him up and hands him over to Kira. He struggles a bit and whimpers as Kira lowers him into the water.

"Shh... it's okay."

Sonic grabs a cloth and dips it into the water before ringing it out. He gently begins to rub the cloth over Samuel's body and groans as Samuel screams and kicks his feet, spraying water into Sonic's face.

"Whoa, easy buddy! Calm down!"

Sonic continues to clean Samuel with the cloth and squirts some shower gel into his hands before rubbing it onto his tummy and underarms. Kira lowers her ears and ensures that her hand was behind Samuel's head as he continues to struggle.

"Don't worry sweetie... it won't take too long."

Samuel looks up at Sonic and Kira and whimpers as Sonic gently pours a jug of water over his head. Sonic makes a sympathetic expression as he uses his hands to spread the water over Samuel's body, getting rid of the excess soap.

"Okay, his front is all good, we just need to clean up his back now..."

Kira smiles and nods as she turns Samuel around. Samuel begins kicking his feet once again and sobs as Sonic starts using the cloth to clean his back and spines. Sonic sighs a bit and shakes his head, smiling slightly as he kisses Samuel's head.

"Wow... I've never seen so much fuss over a warm bath."

Samuel soon sneezes and Kira giggles.

"Aww... is the water tickling your nose, sweetie?"

Samuel looks up at Kira and watches as Sonic turns around, picking up a towel. He soon makes a small whining sound and wriggles his legs around before crossing them a bit. Kira makes a curious expression and watches as Sonic turns back, also making a curious expression.

"Huh? What's he doing?"

"Uh oh... Sonic, I think he's about to--"

A few seconds later, Sonic and Kira watch as a yellow stream comes out of Samuel's lower region and lands in the water, making it turn yellow. Kira smiles and sighs a bit as she waits for him to finish.

"-- go potty."

Sonic chuckles a bit as he notices a little blush appear on Samuel's muzzle. He gently ruffles Samuel's hair before laying a clean towel over his arms.

"Well, when ya gotta go..."

Samuel, who now felt embarrassed by what he just did, finishes urinating before bursting into tears. Kira lowers her ears and gently lifts the hedgehoglet before laying him onto the towel in Sonic's arms. She gently rubs Samuel's ear with her fingers and smiles down at him.

"Shh... it's alright, sweetpea. The bath is finished now..."

Samuel sniffs and looks up at Sonic as he lays him on the towel and begins to dry him off. The little hedgehoglet coos and soon begins to calm down as he looks up at Sonic. The blue blur chuckles as he dries off Samuel's tummy.

"You've finally calmed down, eh?" 

Kira giggles as she watches Sonic continue to dry Samuel off, the little hedgehoglet still staring up at him.

"Seems that you have the magic touch, honey..."

Sonic laughs a bit.

"You should already know that, honey! I am pretty cool, after all~"

Kira tuts and shakes her head as she kneels down beside Sonic and takes a bit of towel, drying off Samuel's muzzle. She turns to the wooden tub and picks it up before taking it outside and tipping out the water onto a patch of grass.

"You show off~"

"Thank you, thank you~"

Sonic smirks a bit as he picks up a diaper, untaping it and sliding it under Samuel. Samuel coos curiously as he watches Sonic tape the diaper onto him.

Kira smirks a bit and kisses Sonic's muzzle as she picks up a clean baby suit for Samuel.

"You're lucky you're so cute~"

Sonic laughs again and takes the baby suit from Kira, attempting to dress Samuel up into it. Samuel whines a bit as he starts kicking his feet, not wanting to have the suit put onto him.

Sonic groans a bit as Samuel continues to struggle.

"You're so impatient, little guy..."

"I wonder who he got that gene from~"

Sonic smirks once again as he finally manages to dress Samuel in the suit. He picks Samuel up and kisses his muzzle, holding him in his arms.

"There ya go, little guy. All clean and comfy..."

Kira smiles as Samuel soon rubs his eyes and does a little yawn.

"Aww... I think our little Freedom Fighter is sleepy~"

Sonic smiles as he looks down at Samuel, who was now fast asleep against his chest. Kira kisses Samuel's muzzle before sharing a kiss with Sonic. The two mobians pull away and Sonic walks back into the hut.

"You're right, honey... let's get him to bed."
