2BIT is a sky blue fox from a special pocket dimension. This realm, known as Byte Space, has a strange, digitized look to it, but it is more of a cosmic place where the denizens monitor and manage the destinies of various other dimensions within the multiverse. They are largely offshoots of other "prime" universes that fall out of Byte Space's jurisdiction, but that doesn't make the job any less demanding. So, in order to manage, 2BIT split his own psyche into several other beings, able to help him carry out his duties in several places at once. They form up a team known as "BIT Squad."


Last time, 2BIT came to the realization that everyone going by numbered BIT names was a tad confusing when they all got together. He pondered how to solve this problem, and soon arrived at the solution.

Gator raised the alarm as an outsider arrived in Byte Space. 4BIT, 16BIT, and 32BIT ran out to see what was the matter, and found 2BIT standing with Rainbow the echidna. "Multi-colored marauder!! She's come to steal my prescious cola!" Gator cried. "Cool off, Gator. I brought her. Why don't you man the phones?" 2BIT grumbled. "Why do we even have phones?" 4BIT asked. "Every office has phones!!" 32BIT retorted. Rainbow waved as Gator walked off. "Bye, Bluehair!" she said. 4BIT's fox ears twitched and she shook her head. "No way, 2BIT. I see where you're going with this. We are not getting new names from Rainbow!" she protested. 2BIT smirked. "WE aren't... You are. I'll keep 2BIT, thanks. She can't even nickname me thanks to author-power." he chuckled. Rainbow smiled. "That's right, BIT-Boy!" she said. 2BIT's eyes widened. "Wait... what?" And 32BIT laughed at him. "You had to remove that restriction to let her name us! Isn't that rich, BIT-Boy!! Gah ha ha!!" he chuckled. "What's so funny, Stripes?" she asked. The name was alright given that 32BIT was a tiger, but his bemused reaction to the name brought laughs to the group.

"Do me! Do me!" 16BIT giggled, flitting around Rainbow playfully. A cherub-mouse. This might be a tricky one. Rainbow watched him fly around and chuckled. "Well, aren't you a cutie? Nice to meet you, Cupie-doll!" she smiled. The others busted up laughing, and 16BIT giggled cutely. "Okay, I can work with that!" he chirped. "Uh... We'll call him Cupie. But we are NOT calling me BIT-Boy!" 2BIT growled, "I will pull you all back into my consciousness and start over!" he threatened. "Party pooper." Stripes retorted. 4BIT rolled her eyes. She wasn't amused by any of this. "What about 8BIT?" she asked. "Skip him. Two BIT names are okay." 2BIT said, "But Rainbow, what would you call her?" he asked. Rainbow looked at 4BIT. "I dunno. Lady 2BIT?" she giggled. The group bursted out laughing again, and 2BIT groaned. "Could you try a little harder? We're going to use these names." he said. Rainbow looked carefully, thinking hard. "Hmmm... Well... How about Vixy?" she asked. 4BIT blushed, thinking about the name. "Um... O-okay... Vixy... Hey, that's actually not bad, Rainbow. Th-thanks..." she smiled.

Gator walked over with a cordless phone. "Hey, boss! It's 6BIT! He wants to know if you want him to come out of the shadows? Also, should we get all the other BITs for this meeting?" he asked. Vixy stared at 2BIT. "...Other BITs? ...I thought we were it..." she stammered. 2BIT chuckled softly. "W-well, you were new here, Vixy. Need to know basis and all that. Um, no, I'd better get Rainbow home. Tell 6BIT his new name is Dusk... That should gloom up his day appropriately." he said. Gator shrugged. "Hey, do I get a new name?" he asked. 2BIT glared at the costumed human. "You have too many names as it is! Back to the phones, Gator! C'mon, let's all get back to work!" 2BIT shouted. Stripes and Cupie saluted him. "Whatever you say... BIT-Boy!!" they said before running off. "I'll get you, you punks!!" 2BIT shouted. Rainbow scratched her head. "I dunno what the deal with this place is... But it looks fun! Invite me back sometime, guys!" she smiled. 2BIT sighed, tapping her head to put her to sleep, and wipe her memory at the same time. "Not bloody likely. This crowd is enough of a headache..." he muttered.
