Grief By: Kamal “WaLdO” Ali Interlude.. Sort of... It was a awkward night in Perrin park as I was talking to my “Little buddy”. He was wearing his famous hoodie that covered his face making him a totally new person. Of course for me, I just bought a new, purple toboggan. He managed to barely mumble. “Huh, I didn't quite get that, you know I have short attention span.” “Maybe I should have spoke to someone else.. like shel...” “She Has no understanding right now, I know your depressed |screams loudly| And that give you no right to be mad at me, or anyone else for that matter.” I still couldn't make out his facial, as his face was darkened by the shadowing effect of his hood. “My bad little bud, I got a bit angry there.. |small blush| - So, will you tell me what's wrong? I betcha I can take it.” “Always expect the unexpected Kamal...” “Spew it out already!” “well... e-erm, |Whisper| I'm gay.” Chapter 1 Home Oh, sweet.. sweet Louisville. The city I grew up in. I haven't been here in eight years, when I started going to college getting a masters in Chemistry and playing for the IUS college soccer team and competed in the GLVS Conference. |thought bubble| This place has changed... A Lot.. a new bridge, a whole new center for bands, sports, etc. wow. We have really surpassed the bar. I had to find my way to my old apartment, which my friend Wes was kind enough to let me leave it without rent over piling on me. |Wes works at the apartment complex..| After 30 minutes of morning traffic, I find the normal back roads I always used to go to school that connected directly in front of my apartment. After careful driving, I got through the back road and into the small area I love to call home. |Before we move on, lets introduce the characters!| Wes – He is an energetic man child who is tall and has a belly on him to show you he played football in his time. He is a very nice man on the inside and he just doesn't show it a lot. Denies being gay, but he has the nerve to act faggish from time to time. Jordan – Well, Jordan is my best friend since 3rd grade. He is a tall tiger, (even taller than Wes, Jordan was 6'4” at 13 years old,) but he can have a warm heart from time to time. He is, although, short-tempered and has a lack of self-control. But those features I don't mind, he is still my friend non-the-less. (haha, he hates the subject of his personality.. he says he's straight though.) Shelby – oh my gosh, she was like my best friend when we were little in eighth grade! I missed her a lot while I was gone! Anyways, She is an emotional wolf, but hides her “Emo-ness” easily. She always wears a hoodie. She was an amazing friend then, so why not now? Bisexual very openly to everyone. Devon – Another one of my “besties” in middle school. She is a cheetah with ambitions, “Straight to da MAX!” I coined that catch phrase for her when she finally convinced me she wasn't bisexual. Sarah – My chubby little bisexual girl who kind of creeped me out, but was a good friend all the time. She always made me laugh and get me out of my always depressed mood. Hehe if I was straight I might've dated her! And then there is me. A husky who is very kind and loving. I have gray fur all around so I look like a coyote when I'm not properly cleaned up, and I look like a wolf when I am.. I'm openly gay to all my friends and some other people I know of. I'm not very strong nor tall nor fat, I am a very scrawny boy, but can protect myself in “sticky” situations. And that is the gang, now, where were we? I saw my apartment number “14” engraved in stone above the door outside. I busted through the broken door with my very full hands, walked down the hall and dropped all my stuff to get one tiny key. I fit it through the lock and opened to the smell of.. well nothing really. Im just used to the natural apartment stench I guess. After I got everything I had inside and I sat down for awhile, I wanted to go meet everyone at the normal meet up place for saturday's. Sadly this wasn't until 7 Pm. It was 7:30 Am. I had a lot of time to kill sleeping and unpacking. Mainly sleeping!
