Issue 5, Splash Page Panel 1 Scene: A wide view of the elevator at Sayvette. Doors closed, coloured orange with a thick bar of blue at it's central point that runs horizontal. Entire elevator is framed in brushed nickle/steel and set within a wall of grey cinder-blocks. Caption: Upper Left-- Black Ace Publishing presents Caption: Lower Right-- A story by Jason Barry Panel 2 Scene: The same as before, however the camera view has now drawn closer to the doors. Caption: Upper Left-- Feldon, Magical Mystery Squirrel Panel 3 Scene: Same as before, we are even closer to the doors, they seems to be taking up the entirety of the panel. The dark crack of the doors is thick and black, indicating that they have opened part way. Caption: Upper Left-- Sayvette's Elevator Caption: Lower Right-- Part 2: Going Down Panel 4 Scene: The panel is now swallowed by darkness. Caption: Upper Left-- Art by somebody Caption: Lower Right-- Edited by Adam Allen Issue 5, Page 1 Panel 1 Scene: A car being driven by Genichi pulls up to the front of the Sayvette. Beside the raccoon is Feldon, leaning against the passenger side window and looking forlorn. Outside of the car it is raining hard with the occasional rumble of thunder. Genichi (GA): “Here we are Feldon. You alright?” Feldon (FL): “Yeah I'll be alright. My manager here is just a dickhead, y'know?” GA: “The world is full of those.” Panel 2 Scene: Feldon smirks at Genichi before he gets out of the car. FL: “If that were true Genichi I doubt the world would be half as livable. I'll just keep myself out of sight.” GA: “Well, just remember that you have the right to refuse unsafe work. Picking up bikes and lifting them over your head does not sound safe to me and I don't care how strong someone is.” FL: “Thanks Genichi.” Panel 3 Scene: Feldon opening the car door and bounding toward the department store entrance as the heavy rain pelts down upon him. Panel 4 Scene: Feldon arriving in the store soaked even from that small distance. Mike (raccoon) is there glowering at him and Riddle (possum) looks over as well with a raised eyebrow. Panel 5 Scene: Riddle approaches Feldon. Riddle (RD): “I'm surprised you are here. Jerrod is on the warpath this evening. I think Anne rejected his plea to have you fired.” Issue 5, page 2 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon is genuinely taken aback by this. The look of shock on his face is dramatic. FL: “Fired? That is news to me. Anne said that he put a complaint about me on file.” RD: “That was after she rejected his first suggestion. MY suggestion is that you keep out of sight after the dance.” Panel 2 Scene: Everyone gathered in a circle and clapping: Feldon, Riddle, Mike, Marcus (husky), Joe (Panther) and Juanita (Vixen). Jerrod (Weasel) at the head of the circle holding a clipboard with a nasty look on his face. Panel 3 Scene: Jerrod assigning everyone their duties for the night, not a single person looks happy about what they are hearing. As we come into this part of the conversation, we are hearing what Jerrod is assigning Feldon. Jerrod (JD): “Feldon, since you seem incapable of handling the toy section I have a job that is right up your alley: Before close costumers were complaining about a mess in the men's room on the second floor. Clean it, then come see me about your next assignment.” FL: “Yessir.” Panel 4 Scene: Feldon in the foreground with a frown on his face watching the weasel wander off. Behind him are the rest of the crew looking bewildered at what just happened. Riddle has a pitying look on his face and his paw on Feldon's shoulder. Panel 5 Scene: Feldon wheeling his cleaning cart toward the elevator in the basement. As per usual the area is a clutter of skids of merchandise. Panels 6 & 7 Scene: Feldon loading the cart onto the elevator, but not getting in himself. The squirrel is instead pushing the second floor button then opting to take the stairs. Issue 5, Page 3 Panel 1 Scene: Point of View; from within the toilet bowl, Feldon stands above with a look of horror on his face, eyes wide, teeth clenched, his hand raised up as if ready to protect himself from whatever it is that he is seeing. Panel 2 Scene: Feldon stepping out of the washroom and running into Riddle who is working in the toy section next to the washroom. Feldon looks disgusted and mad. Riddle is curious as to what is going on in there. RD: “What's going on Feldon, you look sick.” FL: “I never thought I'd see the day where someone would take a shit behind the toilet set rather than in the bowl. And I'm quite sure that person was our night manager.” Panel 3 Scene: Riddle can not help but laugh at the lunacy that Feldon has just said. Feldon too is starting to smirk. Panel 4 Scene: The two of them having a belly laugh at the thought. Panel 5 Scene: After calming down a bit the two begin to part ways. FL: “Alright Riddle, I'm finished here so I'm off to see what mastah wants me to do next.” RD: “Don't take too much shit from him.” FL: “I already have.” Issue 5, Page 4 Panel 1 Scene: The hardware section, a wall full of tools for sale. A hand reaches out and grips the handle of a sledgehammer. Caption: Meanwhile Panel 2 Scene: Mike hefting the sledgehammer with an almost blank stare. Voice: That's the one. Now bring it to the incinerator, I have unlocked the doors. Panel 3 Scene: Mike strolling off with the sledgehammer hoisted over his shoulder. Panel 4 Scene: Mike stepping into the elevator in the backroom, still with the sledgehammer. Panel 5 Scene: Mike opens a pair of iron doors that lead to the old incinerator room. These doors are covered with grime, graffiti and has a big sign on it stating: Danger. Off Limits. Panel 6 Scene: Mike standing in the lighted doorway looking into the gloom beyond. In the gloom we can see the shapes of large pipes, gas and water mains, fly wheels. The floor is filthy and littered. Panel 7 Scene: Mike leaving the sledge just inside the door. Voice: Now make yourself scarce, I will summon Marcus when the time is right. Mike: “Yes.” Issue 5, Page 5 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon approaching Jerrod who has his back turned. They are at the front check-out area, empty cash registers in rows, eerie in their desertion. Half the lights are on over head, the store seems darker at this point. Panel 2 Scene: Feldon gets Jerrod's attention and the weasel almost jumps out of his own skin. FL: “Jerrod?” JD: Jumping-- “Geezis, don't sneak up on a person like that.” FL: “What is my next assignment?” Panel 3 Scene: Close up of Jerrod's face, he has turned his back to Feldon again and has a sly, vengeful look on his face. JD: “Get your jacket on; the day crew didn't round up all the carts that are outside. You are going to circle the mall and pick up the strays.” Panel 4 Scene: Feldon climbing down the stairs to the basement on his way to the locker room to fetch his jacket. His face is twisted into a scowl. Panel 5 Scene: Feldon runs into Joe while putting on his jacket. Joe: “What's wrong Fel? Jerrod riding you again?” FL: “He's having me fetch carts out in this rainstorm.” Joe: “Wait one moment then.” Issue 5, Page 6 Panel 1 Scene: Joe returns to Feldon carrying a black slicker with reflective bars on it. Joe: “Here put this on. We wouldn't want you to catch your death now would we? Look on the bright side of this: When you are out there, you won't be trapped in here with him.” FL: “Thanks Joe, that helps.” Panel 2 Scene: Jerrod opening the front glass doors and letting Feldon out into the darkness and the rain. JD: “I'll be right here to open the doors.” FL: “Yessir.” Panel 3 Caption: Elsewhere Scene: The husky called Marcus is leaning against a pump truck just within the receiving dock, while Joe is wearing a slicker and having a smoke on the outside of it, under the overhang. Something seems to be drawing his attention. Panel 4 Scene: Close up of Marcus looking over his shoulder. Panel 5 Scene: The gloomy basement full of stacked boxes on pallets, a veritable wall of cardboard, a maze that winds into the gloom. Voice: “Marcus, could you come here? I need some help.” Panel 6 Scene: Marcus wandering off towards the incinerator room, while Joe continues to smoke on the dock. Issue 5, Page 7 Panel 1 Scene: Marcus approaching the incinerator room with a look of curiosity. Marcus: “Hello? Mike is that you?” Panel 2 Scene: Mike appears behind Marcus with his sledgehammer in hand, held across his chest meaningfully. Mike's face has a strange almost blank look to it. Mike: “I'm right here. You know that no one is allowed in that room.” Marcus: “!” Panel 3 Scene: Mike's face in a contortion of rage, swinging the sledgehammer from his right shouldering in an arc that sweeps in a diagonal downward motion. Panel 4 Scene: Marcus' face, horrified, fearing for his life in the split second before the sledgehammer connects. Panel 5 Scene: Marcus falls under the blow of the sledgehammer, all the while Mike is raving. Mike: “Where did you put it Mark? Where is the rest of my book?!” Issue 5, Page 8 Panel 1 Scene: A hallway, one that is leading to the lunchroom. At the end of the hall are two vending machines, one for candy bars, one for cola. There are three doorways: One to the lunchroom, one to the lockers and one that would lead to the main floor by stair. Caption: “Where did you put it Mark?” Panel 2 Scene: The lunchroom with a couple of tables, fridge, kitchen counter with sink, coffee maker and toaster oven. Under the coffee maker is the suggestion of a pile of papers. Caption: “Where is it?” Panel 3 Scene: A close up of the coffee maker with the pile of page stacked beneath it; Mike's story. Caption: “Where are the pages Mark?” Issue 5, Page 9 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon pushing a row of ten carts in the parking lot, rain water running in rivulets down the sides of his slicker. Panel 2 Scene: Everything in tones of green. Feldon suddenly looks horrified, eyes wide and green, background should have thick black tendrils as the information of what Mike has done feeds into Feldon's head. Panel 3 Scene: Feldon abandons the carts and starts running for the main doors. FL: “No!” Panel 4 Scene: Feldon at the doors, shaking them, trying to get the attention of others inside, but there is no one around. Panel 5 Scene: Feldon taking a deep breath with his eyes closed—everything is once again drawn in green tones. FL: Thinking-- Lord Jackal are you there? We need help at the Sayvette. Panel 6 Scene: Feldon backs away from the glass doors and runs off around the building. Issue 5, Page 10 Panel 1 Scene: Joe is wandering around the gloom of the storeroom, having heard Mike screaming about something. Joe is still in his own slicker, cigarette half dangling from his mouth. He is revolted by the sight which awaits him, just inside the doors of the incinerator room: The crumpled body of Marcus and the sledgehammer that is laying in the filth. Caption: Meanwhile Panel 2 Scene: Joe turns around and recoils in horror as a baseball bat swings at him. Joe: “Oh god no!” Panel 3 Scene: Mike standing over Joe with the bat in hand. Around him is a strange aura that is shaped like the horse-thing that has been inhabiting the elevator. Voice: He yet lives. Kill him. Mike: “No. Joe is harmless.” Voice: I have given you an order! Panel 4 Scene: Mike is starting to resist the influence of 'the thing', to the point that his eyes are tearing up at the sight of what he has done. Voice: No matter. I have another who is bringing down a much despised man. Panel 5 Scene: The elevator doors open with a 'ding' to reveal that Riddle and Jerrod are aboard. Jerrod: “Show me this problem with the baler so that I can get back to the front doors. Feldon is still out there in the rain.” Issue 5, Page 11 Panel 1 Scene: Riddle leads Jerrod off toward the garbage compactor which is in it's own room. Mike falls in behind and follows them. Jerrod is totally oblivious to either of them acting oddly. Panel 2 Scene: For lack of a better title, this is the garbage room: There is a large metal door set in the wall in which the garbage is tossed and crushed into a metal bin on the outside of the store. There is also a cardboard baler on the wall to the right. It is a great green metal box with a mesh gate that is currently raised up and a metal plate on hydrolics used to crush cardboard and produce bales. The room is grimy, filthy black with use. A bale of cardboard sits on a skid and a small tub on wheels stands next to the garbage crusher. Jerrod: “Show me the problem.” RD: “Gladly.” Panel 3 Scene: Mike and Riddle grab Jerrod and hoist him over their heads. Jerrod is shocked, scared and angry. Jerrod: “Put me down! Put me down this instant!” Panel 4 Scene: Jerrod is tossed into the opening of the baler. Panel 5 Scene: Mike lowers the gate. Jerrod's eyes are wide with horror. Jerrod: “What are you doing?” Mike: “Taking out the trash.” Panel 6 Scene: Riddle is about to push the big red button on the control panel next to the baler that will start the machine. Issue 5, Page 12 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon appears in the doorway of the garbage room, soaking wet, just as Riddle's hand is floating above the button. FL: “Riddle stop!” RD: “?” Panel 2 Scene: Riddle looks momentarily confused, as though he does not know where he is or what he's been doing. RD: “Feldon? What's going on?” Panel 3 Scene: Feldon with his hands raised in a gesture of peace and calm, cautiously steps into the room. FL: “Nothing is going on Riddle. Just take a step back from that machine.” Panel 4 Scene: Now confused, Riddle steps away from the baler, while Feldon makes to open the gate and let Jerrod out. RD: “What am I doing here Feldon? Oh my god what is Jerrod doing in there?” Panel 5 Scene: A shout from behind Riddle distracts both Feldon and Riddle. It is Mike, swinging his bat at Riddle, knocking the possum off of his feet. Mike: Screaming-- “No!” Issue 5, Page 13 Panel 1 Scene: With Riddle down on the floor, groaning, Feldon and Mike now square off. The squirrel is determined not to let Mike near the button that begins the baling cycle. Mike on the other hand seems intent on caving Feldon's head in with the bat. Panel 2 Scene: Feldon dodging a few swings of the bat as Mike advances. The squirrel's eyes begin to blaze with green light. Panel 3 Scene: Feldon unleashes a psychic attack. Everything in the panel should be in mono-green. Representations of Feldon's will (maybe as a halo of gold or pink light) directed at the mind of Mike (perhaps as an impact star). Mike is squinting and gritting his teeth, somehow resisting the barrage. Panel 4 Scene: Something begins to rise out of Mike, the strange horse-like shadow from the elevator, it's eyes are a blaze with orange/yellow fire. Panel 5 Scene: Seeing that he cannot overwhelm Mike psychically, Feldon reaches out with his hand towards a cart on wheels which is used to collect garbage. It is nothing more than a beat up and filthy tub with shopping-cart wheels, meaning that it can be rolled in any direction. Panel 6 Scene: Feldon swings the cart in an arc, knocking Mike off balance. The thing that was in Mike seems to be fading into the shadows. Panel 7 Scene: Keeping the garbage cart between him and Mike, Feldon begins to try and reach Mike. FL: “Mike, dude, you have to fight whatever the hell is controlling you!” Mike: Muttering-- “You little bastard.” Issue 5, Page 14 Panel 1 Caption: Meanwhile Scene: A car pulls up in front of the Sayvette. It is dark and still raining out as the figures of Raya and Lord Jackal step out of the car. LJ: “I sense something terribly wrong here.” Panel 2 Scene: Raya approaches the glass doors and places both hands on the panes of glass. She appears to be concentrating. Panel 3 Scene: The locks of the doors suddenly turn. Sound Effect: Click! Panel 4 Scene: Raya opens the doors and steps into the department store, followed by Lord Jackal. LJ: “Something is going on in the basement. I'm heading down there. You sense the lady upstairs? With the child?” RS: “Yeah, I'll go make sure that she is alright.” Panel 5 Scene: The two part ways, with Raya ascending the escalator and Lord Jackal heading for the stairwell. Issue 5, Page 15 Panel 1 Scene: Raya looking about the upper floor of the department store for Juanita. She heads towards the pets department. Panel 2 Scene: Raya spots Juanita fiddling around with the shelving in pets, as if trying to pull it off of the wall. Beside her appears to be a white-furred kitten, male, in blue coveralls directing her in what she is doing. RS: “Juanita?” Panel 3 Scene: Juanita looks over at Raya fearfully. Juanita: “Yes?” RS: “What are you doing?” Panel 4 Scene: The same. Juanita takes a moment though to look over at the boy that is beside her. Juanita: “Charlie says that there is trouble and that I'll be safe in here.” RS: “You'll do better to wait outside of the store. Call the cops Juanita and then get out of here.” Juanita: “Come along Charlie.” RS: “There is no Charlie dear.” Panel 5 Scene: Juanita looking fearful as she realizes that the boy is now missing and she is talking to a complete stranger. Issue 5, Page 16 Panel 1 Scene: Lord Jackal comes upon the struggle between Feldon and Mike. Feldon is looking the worse for wear as the two are now wrestling on the filthy floor of the compactor room. LJ: “Am I interrupting?” Panel 2 Scene: The comment has it's desired effect, giving Feldon enough time to bring his knee up into Mike's groin and throw the raccoon off. Panel 3 Scene: Lord Jackal helps Feldon to his feet. The squirrel is shaking and explains the situation as best as he can. FL: “Mike is possessed. Whatever it is that lives in the elevator here has taken him over.” LJ: Nodding-- “We will have to reach into Mike's mind and switch him off. Are you ready for this?” FL: “No. But I have no choice at this point.” Panel 4 Scene: Lord Jackal and Feldon join hands as Mike stands back up. The mysterious shape of the horse still hovers above him. Panel 5 Scene: As Mike goes in for another attack, Lord Jackal and Feldon release a psychic barrage; there appears an aura of bright light, arching forward and colliding with Mike. Panel 6 Scene: Mike collapsing, his face blank. The entity that has possession of him fleeing through the wall of the compactor room. Panel 7 Scene: The elevator doors open just slightly with its characteristic noise. Sound Effect: Uhn-Huhm. Issue 5, Page 17 Panel 1 Scene: Raya appears in the doorway of the compactor room looking in at the mess. RS: “Police are just starting to pull up.” Panel 2 Scene: Lord Jackal pointing to the baling machine and speaking to Feldon. It turns out that Jerrod has still been begging to be released from the baler ever since the incident occurred. LJ: “Get that man out of there.” FL: “What about Riddle and the others? You are not up and leaving me are you?” LJ: “We'll be nearby. But we are not getting further involved. Also, don't use your powers on the cops, no matter how tempting it might be.” Panel 3 Scene: Lord Jackal and Raya leave the compactor room while Feldon begins to turn a flywheel that opens the front of the machine, freeing Jerrod from it. Around Feldon are the bodies of Riddle and Mike, both unconscious. Panel 4 Scene: Jerrod is released from the compactor and is instantly grabbing onto Feldon in hysterics. Feldon looks annoyed at the weasel's behaviour. Jerrod: “Thank you! Thank you! Oh gawd, he was trying to kill me!” Panel 5 Scene: The cops arrive in the basement, lead there by Juanita who looks scared. More so once they see Feldon, Jerrod, Mike and Riddle in the compactor room. Cop: “What is going on here?” Issue 5, Page 18 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon sitting at the kitchen table at Atsu's Home for Boys. He is being questioned by the cops for the hundredth time about the events that night at Sayvette. The cops happen to be Yoshi and Alain, who look sympathetic enough. Genichi hovers nearby. Panel 2 Scene: Feldon heading up the stairs to his bedroom, while Genichi sees both Yoshi and Alain off. The squirrel has a look of gloom hanging over himself. Panel 3 Scene: Feldon laying atop his bed, fully clothed and awake. The room appears to be immaculate in its orderliness. There is a tapping at his door. Sound Effect: Tap, tap, tap. GA: Through the door-- “Feldon, would you like to talk about it?” FL: “Come in Gen.” Panel 4 Scene: Genichi sitting in a chair, while Feldon lays there. FL: “I think what is bothering me the most is that Marcus is dead. I didn't know the guy and he came off as pretty arrogant the times that I did speak with him, but I'd have never wished him harm.” GA: “No one with a conscience would.” FL: “Do you believe it was mass hysteria?” GA: “I don't know what to think.” Issue 5, Page 19 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon still laying upon the bed, hands folded across his chest almost in a mock-patient/psychiatrist situation. FL: “I'm off for a week. Can you believe that? 'You just survived a brutal attack. Be back next Monday.' You do realize that I'll be putting my notice in?” Panel 2 Scene: Genichi nodding from his chair. GA: “I don't think anyone will be surprised.” Panel 3 Scene: Feldon looks to be on the verge of tears as all the horror and frustration of events begin to press in on him. FL: “How am I going to pay for school? How am I going to live?” GA: “Hey, you'll be alright Feldon.” Panel 4 Caption: The Next Day Scene: Someone is knocking on the front door of the Home. The possum called Hartnell goes to answer it. Sound Effect: Knock, Knock. Panel 5 Scene: Hartnell opens the door and reveals that Lord Jackal is the one at the door. Hartnell (HB): “The golden jackal finally arrives.” Issue 5, Page 20 Panel 1 Scene: Lord Jackal standing in the doorway, wearing a long black jacket despite the fact that it is summer and sunny outside. LJ: “Is Feldon in?” HB: “Foolish question since you know he is. Follow me.” Panel 2 Scene: Backyard patio, bright and sunny day, Feldon is sitting at a table with a ice-filled drink, wearing a red T-shirt and a pair of shorts. Hartnell is stepping out of a sliding patio door, followed by Lord Jackal. Panel 3 Scene: Hartnell approaching Feldon from behind. The squirrel looks mildly annoyed as the possum places a hand on his shoulder. HB: “The jackal is here to see you. Accept his offer.” Panel 4 Scene: Both Feldon and Lord Jackal watch as the possum heads back inside. Feldon is mildly perplexed at the comment and the jackal seems amused. FL: “?” LJ: “He's a strange kid.” Panel 5 Scene: Lord Jackal takes a seat beside Feldon. LJ: “How are you holding up?” FL: Shrugging-- “Amazingly well considering the circumstances.” Issue 5, Page 21 Panel 1 Scene: The same. LJ: “You did alright and you did the right thing.” Panel 2 Scene: Feldon looks over at the jackal with some scorn. FL: “One man is now in a cataleptic state, the other comatose. We have a man that is dead. I did alright?” LJ: “Do you think Mike would want to face what he did? To answer for that crime? No. He is better off. Your friend Riddle will recover in time—he may have some explaining to do. Neither of which concerns me, it is time that you paid the piper Feldon. You called for help and we came. We want you to join us. We want you as a member of Levannah's guard.” Panel 3 Scene: Feldon turns away from Lord Jackal and looks miserable. LJ: “I do not understand your hesitancy Feldon. People join societies all the time: The masons, the shriners, the Hell's Angels. What is the difference here? I can tell you something, that thing in Sayvette's elevator is far from the only one out there. What will you do the next time that you must face one alone?” Panel 4 Scene: Feldon looks bitter as he turns his attention to Lord Jackal. FL: “Fine. What do you want me to do?” LJ: “Do you have a passport?” FL: “Yeah.” Issue 5, Page 22 Panel 1 Scene: The living room at Genich's home. Genichi, Feldon and Lord Jackal are present. Feldon is sitting on the couch, Jackal is sitting on a chair and Genichi appears to be pacing nervously back and forth. GA: “I don't like this, because I don't know who you are.” LJ: “Fair enough. I am a friend of Feldon's and after this traumatic experience I think he could use a getaway to clear his mind and conscience of what happened.” GA: “I can't advise this. Venice?” LJ: “Only for a week or so.” GA: “Feldon, please reconsider.” FL: “Sorry Gen, opportunity is knocking and I'm going to answer it.” Panel 2 Scene: Genichi scowling at the situation. Hartnell is now leaning in the doorway with his arms crossed. GA: “I don't like this.” HB: “Let him go Genichi. He'll be fine. He's going to have a wonderful time.” Panel 3 Scene: Genichi looking over at Hartnell, the raccoon closing his eyes in resignation. GA: “Against my better judgement, alright. But you are to call me once a day to let me know that you are alright Feldon.” FL: “I'll agree to that.” Issue 5, Page 23 Panel 1 Caption: The Aftermath Scene: An employee badge with a picture of Mike on it. Caption: Mike spent the rest of his days in a hospital bed, staring blankly into space, he never regained consciousness. Panel 2 Scene: An employee badge with a picture of Riddle. He is happy in the picture. Caption: Riddle eventually recovered and was questioned by police. It was determined that the night shift had suffered from some sort of mass hysteria. Riddle never went back to Sayvette. Panel 3 Scene: An employee badge with a picture of Joe. Caption: Joe recovered from his injuries but not from the horrors of that night. He was made a cashier and eventually a greeter. He never stepped into the basement area if he could help it and was relieved when Sayvette found a new location. Panel 4 Scene: An employee badge with a picture of Juanita. Caption: Juanita stayed on at Sayvette until retirement. She frequently thought she saw little Charlie at the old location, but never at the new one a few years later. She never knew what to make of the whole affair. Panel 5 Scene: An employee badge featuring a picture of Jerrod Caption: Despite being attacked, Jerrod went back to work and the events of that night seemed to make him worse person. Anne eventually fired him when Jerrod had a very loud and public argument with a customer in the middle of the cashiers. Panel 6 Scene: Feldon's badge. Caption: Feldon left Sayvette and continued to have many adventures. Issue 5, Page 24 Panel 1 Scene: The elevator at Sayvette, sitting quietly in the basement of the department store. Everything seems older, filthier, almost on the verge of being abandoned. The doors are fully closed and remain so for a small sequence of panels that would be copies of this. Caption: Sayvette department store relocated a couple of years later to a newly built location and for a time the mall remained closed. Other businesses tried their luck at the location: A grocery store, a dollar store and finally a fabric store opened up. Panel 2 Scene: Same as above. Caption: Throughout it all the elevator has remained quiet, the terrible events of that night were never repeated. Panel 3 Scene: Same as above, except that a small child (feline with white fur) appears to the side of the elevator, staring at it a forlorn expression on his face. Caption: Once in a blue moon a child is reported wandering the store, looking lost, but soon disappears when concerned employees go to find him. It has become something of an unnerving ghost story amongst the cashiers. Panel 4 Scene: The elevator standing as before, by itself, only this time the doors have parted just a crack revealing darkness beyond and the machine makes a familiar sound. Sound Effect: Uhn... Huhm... Caption: The End.
