Winter Wonderland A few glimmering snowflakes floated down from the mostly-blue sky overhead to join the rest of their kind that had fallen overnight in the crisp, cool winter air, now glistening in the early-afternoon winter sun. Two cubs made their way through the snow with a long plastic sled - big enough to seat both of them comfortably. A slightly-chubby raccoon named Timothy, wearing dark-blue snowpants - with a thick white diaper just visible above the waistband - and a blue puffy winter coat with matching mittens on his paws sat in the sled as Friendly - a red fox wearing a red winter coat and similar black snowpants, pulled him along. "I wonder who else we might meet? It'd be great to go sledding with some more cubs!" Friendly said to Timothy, who simply nodded as Friendly continued pulling the sled along. "Do you wanna try pulling me along now? I could use a break." suggested Friendly. Timothy took hold of the string in his mitten-clad paws as the fox took his place in the sled. "Ready Friendly?" Timothy called. "Pull away, Timothy." said Friendly, relaxing in the sled and watching as Timothy began to pull. The cubs only got a few inches though - Timothy wasn't strong enough to pull the sled with Friendly in it and he struggled significantly, his boots slipping and sliding in the snow. Friendly chuckled as he watched Timothy struggling to pull him along, and offered a suggestion. "Why not try pushing the sled instead? It might be easier." Timothy pondered for a moment and then decided to give it a try. He stooped behind the sled and began to push, but again his boots just couldn't get any traction in the snow and with all of his effort, Timothy just couldn't get the sled to budge. "You're too heavy, Friendly!" Timothy squeaked in dismay, admitting defeat as his boots kept slipping around in the snow. He stepped to the front of the sled and held the string - but let go of it as he attempted to pull his snowpants up over his diaper, which had been showing significantly over the waistband. Friendly chuckled and helped his friend to conceal his diaper. "It's okay, Timothy, You'll always be my bestest friend in the whole wide world." He said softly, gently patting the seat of Timothy's snowpants. Timothy blushed a little but felt better as Friendly got to his feet and took hold of the sled. "Come on, slippy-boots." Friendly teased, as the two cubs continued on their way to the sledding hills. Not far ahead by a line of pine trees, a burly little ursine cub named Sascha was building a huge snowbear, with the helpful critique of his plushie lynx Sammy. Sascha was wearing a bulky dark-blue one piece snowsuit with purple legbands, arms and hood, complete with purple mittens. Once Sascha had thought he'd finished, he turned to his companion proudly. "What do you think? It's great, isn't it? Told you it would be fun." The plushie seemed to disapprove of the head of the snowbear, so Sascha reached up on tiptoes and tried to adjust the big ball of snow a bit. Suddenly the head started to slide off. Sascha did his best to stop it, pawing frantically at the snow, but the heavy weight and the height was too much and all he achieved was that the head was now sliding in his direction instead. A startled 'Mew' was all the little cub got out before the ball of snow impacted on his head, sending cold snow into his collar and down his snowsuit. "Meeeeeeow" As the little ursine toppled backwards into the snow, he swore he could hear his plushie friend giggle. He looked up at the remains of his snowbear; sighing with dismay Sascha rose to his feet, his bulky snowsuit rustling as he did so. "Bb..brrrrrr" moaned Sascha, shivering as he felt the cold snow slipping further down his snowsuit as he stood up. He glanced at his lynx plush Sammy. "It's not funny!" he cried, trying hard not to burst into tears - though whether it was about his snowbear's head falling off or the fact that the ursine cub now had cold, wet snow down his snowsuit, even he didn't know. As Sascha stood by the remains of his snowbear, Friendly and Timothy approached. "Hey look, there's Sascha!" squeaked Timothy, making his way over to the little bear-lynx cub - his pace resembling a huge waddle as he trudged through the thick snow in his bulky snow pants. "T...Timothy?" squeaked Sascha, looking up at the chubby little raccoon cub as he made his way through the snow. "Sascha!" Timothy exclaimed, embracing his friend with a hug and taking Sascha a little by surprise. Friendly chuckled as he heard the muffled squeaks and rustles as the two cubs' snowsuits rubbed against each other. Friendly looked at the remains of Sascha's snowbear. "Wow... what are you building little buddy?" Friendly said softly. "I... I was building a snowbear... but the head began to slide off and I tried to stop it... but it fell on me!" Sascha explained, still shivering. "Aww, did a poor little burr get snow down his snowsuit?" asked Friendly, sympathetically. He picked Sascha up and gave him a warm cuddle, gently rubbing his paws on the little cub's bulky snowsuit. Sascha felt somewhat better with the hug from the older cub and he returned the hug, wrapping his mitten-clad paws around the fox cub's neck and burying his head under Friendly's warm neckfur. Timothy looked at Sascha's little plush, whom to the little raccoon seemed he wanted off of the sled he was sitting on. The little raccoon stooped down in the snow and gently lifted the little plush off the sled, but Timothy overbalanced and landed on the seat of his snowpants in the snow, with a startled squeak. To Sascha, Timothy's squeak sounded like Sammy's giggle. He looked up and saw Timothy struggling to his feet, holding Sammy and now giving him a hug. The little ursine was about to confront the raccoon about holding his plush when he noticed Timothy was sobbing. "What's wrong, Timothy?" Friendly asked, hearing the little raccoon's sobs too. "I... I got snow down my pants..." he sniffled, beginning to shiver like Sascha had been just minutes ago. "Oh dear" chuckled Friendly, "Come here little buddy." Friendly set Sascha down on his feet - whom gently took hold of Sammy as Timothy waddled by. Friendly picked the chubby raccoon up and gave him a warm hug, patting the seat of his snowpants. Most of the snow came down the legs and back onto the ground where it belonged. "Timothy and I are going sledding - if you'd like to join us, please feel free Sascha." said Friendly, as he set Timothy back onto the ground and pulled the little raccoon's snowpants up over his diaper. "W... well I..." struggled Sascha, really he wanted to keep building his snowbear - but Sammy seemed to think sledding with Friendly and Timothy would be fun. So without another moment's hesitation, Sascha agreed. "Okay!" he grinned, setting Sammy back on his wooden sled and pulling it along behind him, with Friendly and Timothy pulling their own sled alongside. The End
