Meal 5 Morris and Tagmer were in a daze when they awoke in a forest foreign to both of them. Thoughts of Obamon and her home in the woods seemed almost like a weird fantasy, but the weight they had put on was still hanging on their frames and was proof enough to convince them that everything they recalled really did happen. As they got to their feet they quickly noticed both of them had gone through a wardrobe change. Tagmer now had a steel breastplate and spiked shoulder and arm guards. He had a heavy sword strapped to his back and despite his own impressive strength it was considerably heavy. Morris wore a hooded forest green robe over his regular clothes and had a long bow at his side. Underneath the cloak he had dozens of arrows to keep him well supplied not to mention a bunch of daggers, and other tools at his disposal. "So what's all this now?" asked Tagmer giving himself a look over. "This might sound crazy," answered Morris . "But when Obamon told me to think up the story before we got sucked in here I had actually imagined us in these outfits." "Alright," said Tagmer. "What are we supposed to be doing then?" "Not sure," admitted Morris . "My mind was racing when we were getting pulled into the book. We might be stuck in here till Obamon decides to let us out. We might just have to sit here and wait." As they were about to consider what their next move was they heard a rustling in the bushes surrounding them. Reacting quickly, they got back to back to cover their blind spots. Seconds later, the bushes exploded as goblins rushed out to swarm them. Fighting them off, Tagmer swung his sword his mighty sword cutting down vast quantities at a time. Morris relied on his bow and found he was rapidly firing them with incredible precision and deadly accuracy. As the goblins were defeated they vanished into a dark purple mist. Their numbers did little to help them and soon all the goblins were vanquished. This gave Tagmer and Morris a chance to catch their breath for a moment, but the next thing they realized they were starting to swell with fat. It was hardly as much as they had grown from their recent meal, but gaining weight for apparently no reason was reason enough for alarm. "What's going on?" asked Tagmer moments before it stopped. "How should I know?" replied Morris. "At least it stopped. I know I didn't come up with it." "Well, we won the battle," concluded Tagmer. "In games we get experience points at the end of it. Maybe in this case we gain weight." "I've got nothing better," admitted Morris. Suddenly, a trail opened in the woods and beckoned them onwards. "You might be right and whatever we're doing it seems we're being led in the right direction." "Then let's get going," said Tagmer putting his sword away. "I wasn't sure about what Obamon was intending, but now I'm starting to get excited for this adventure. Let's get going!" Obamon smiled as she watched her two new guests walk down the path to their next destination. "They'll be in there for a while," she stated. "It should give me enough time to finish up with Kill. He wants to have a little magic battle so I hope he's studying hard." Grinning with anticipation, Obamon placed the book carefully down on a table and walked to the library. Kill was still studying diligently and didn't notice her as she came in. When she put a hand on his shoulder he jumped to his feet in surprise. "Sorry, dearie," apologized Obamon. "I didn't mean to scare you, but I wanted to see if you were ready for a magic battle to test your abilities." Kill rubbed his eyes trying to soothe them after staring at the text for so long. "I think I've reached a good enough spot to test my progress. Let me test what I have learned." There was a look of determination on his face not to mention a bit of eagerness to try out his new spells on Obamon. Little did he realize this battle was not going to go as he had intended. Obamon led him to another room in her home. He was starting to suspect her home was a lot more magical than it seemed as it definitely didn't seem this big on the outside. Whatever the case, he figured he could just ask her after they finished up with their little magic battle. The room they were in now was clearly designed for duels. There was a long stage in the center for the fighters and an audience booth for spectators. The room was neatly decorated and smelled of cedar wood to heighten his senses. This served to excite him for their duel even more than he already did. Kill stood there looking around, but Obamon called him back to his senses when she took her position in the field. Quickly, he took his place opposite her and waited for the battle to commence. They both bowed courteously to one another then Kill struck first with a fattening spell. He had hoped his faster reflexes would give him an advantage, but the spell appeared to dissipate on contact with her. Kill looked on with shock, not noticing the effects of the spell seemed to somehow take effect on him as he belly stretched out more and his rear ballooned out. "Come now dearie," Obamon taunted to him in her usual cheerful voice. "Can't you do better than that little mousy?" Those words quickly hit Kill where it hurt. But it wasn't so much that she said he was weak as much as calling him a mouse. He was a rat and so proud of it that he didn't want to be improperly labeled as a mere mouse. Throwing caution to the wind Kill started to spam out his different inflation spells at Obamon to no avail. The effects merely ended up appearing back on Kill, causing him to expand uncontrollably with fat. His legs thickened like tree trunks as did his arms. His belly spilled out onto the ground and would have send him tumbling forward had his rear not blobbed out just as fast. As his chest and fat filled with fat it seemed almost like he was melting, though the case was his fat was overtaking him to the point even his own formidable strength was failing him now. On top of that, he had run out of strength to cast any more spells an Obamon hadn't even made a move yet. "Are you out?" she asked making certain. He gave a simple nod while he took a few deep breaths. The sudden weight gain really took a lot out of him. "You were a lot more impressive than I expected. If I didn't take a few precautions I might have been in trouble." "Precautions?" he asked. "Like what?" "Just a little magic reflector in my apron," she explained as she approached him. "I could have just tried avoiding your magic, but I thought it would be such a waste of some good inflation spells. I must say you truly are something. I didn't know if you had the stuff to help me out at first, but you continue to surprise me. But we'll get to that later. Now to win this fight." As Obamon approached Kill, their combined weight made the around them start to crack. Kill tried to struggle to his feet to no avail. Obamon then reached over to her opponent and began to massage and tickle his fatty sides. He tried to resist, but his stretched skin was so sensitive it was quickly too much and he burst into laughter. "Don't worry," cooed Obamon. "It won't last too long." As she proceeded to tickle Kill she was slowly working her own magic on him, fattening him up little by little. She didn't normally like to use magic fatten up her guests, but since she was in a duel this was an exception, especially since she had something even grander planned. While, Kill's weight continued to increase so did the cracks on the ground. When the floor became weak enough Obamon stepped away. She didn't need to do anything else; the floor was already damaged enough and only getting worse. As Kill recovered from the tickling and caught his breath he tried to move away before the ground gave way below him. It was his futile struggles that were the final push needed to splinter the remaining ground around him and send him plummet into the darkness below. There was a splash and a taste of something delicious. "I'll be right down," called Obamon. "Don't start without me." With that Obamon hurried her way to the basement. As Morris and Tagmer ventured into the woods they encountered a variety of different creatures from oversized insects to mutant squirrels, and living trees to forest goblins. Their first encounter left them a bit overconfident as they proceeded. As a result, they fell victim to several ambushes of monsters. They still managed to fend them off, but suffered a few minor bruises and scratches as a result. They soon learned better and proceeded more cautiously with Tagmer leading the way since he was better equipped to defend against attacks. Morris remained a few steps behind with his bow drawn, ready to fire at the slightest sign of danger. As they continued to proceed to fend off enemies their gained a little more weight with each enemy they defeated. Tagmer felt his armor grow tight as his flab conformed to its shape. Morris’s cloak was feeling snug too as he could barely cover his body with it. With the need to stay sharp however, his protruding belly ended up sticking out a good deal as he walked. "Any idea if we're almost out of these woods yet?" asked Tagmer after cutting down another monster and putting another bit of fat to his frame. "No idea," Morris replied. "We've been walking around for a while and still haven't come to the end. I'd take a peek up a tree, but I don't think the branches would support my weight anymore." "Yeah, and my wings are just for show," added Tag. "All this weight we're putting on is making things a bit more difficult for us." "And the items the enemies drop aren't help," he commented. "What was a tree monster doing with a chocolate bar?" "You got me," replied Tagmer as he took a sandwich from his pack. "At least it helps us recover." As he ate the few minor injuries he received vanished in an instant, thought he did put on a bit of weight at the same time. "Well don't eat too much," Morris suggested. "I don't want to have to roll you out of here if you get too fat. It would be even worse if we had to go uphill." "You're no Mr. Washboard Abs," argued Tag. "I would say you're at least as obese as me." "Quiet," shushed Morris. "Hey!" retorted Tagmer loudly. "Don't tell me to be quiet." "No," explained Morris in a low voice. "I thought I heard something." "What?" whispered Tag. "It might've just been my stomach." "No," answered Morris. "We're not alone." Immediately, they got up back to back and observed their surroundings. Off the corner of their eyes they caught sight of something moving, but before they could look it was gone. It seemed impossible, but the creature appeared to be coming from everywhere at once then everything grew still and eerily quiet. The only sound they could here was their own breathing as the tension was unbearable. Suddenly, without warning, the ground around them cracked as tree roots burst out with the intent of ensnaring them. "Duck," Tagmer ordered Morris as the held his sword in both hands. Morris was quick to follow those orders and take a crouching stance as Tagmer let loose a spin attack to slice the roots at they came within reach. They only persisted in their attack for a few moments before they receded into the earth to avoid getting cut any further. Tag planted his sword in the ground trying to regain his balance from the side effect of his attack. Morris got up to protect Tagmer while he recovered. Luckily that time passed without incident. "So do you think it's another of those tree creatures?" asked Tagmer getting to his feet. "I didn't know they could attack like that." "I don't think it's the same as those," commented Morris. "It may be the boss of this area. In which case, we can't hold back." He then reached into his cloak grabbing some impact explosives and attaching them to a few of his arrows. "What are you planning?" asked Tagmer. "We're at a disadvantage with the forest concealing it," he explained. "It can just keep attacking us at a distance and protect its main body. Hopefully this will flush it out." Morris then targeted a tree a few meters away and fired. He hit his mark perfectly and on impact the arrow exploded in a fiery blast blowing away bushes and charring the tree and the trees around it, but other than that there were no other reactions. He rotated his aim a few degrees in another direction and fired another shot with the same results. After several arrows he burnt most of the forest around them but still didn't have any luck. "Maybe it ran off," suggested Tagmer. "Or maybe it's farther away." "Perhaps," replied Morris. "But on the other hand." He fired another arrow at a tree that exploded. However, as this one burnt it roared in pain. "It's right over there." The two of them watched as its branches formed into arms, and its roots into legs. A monstrous face carved itself into the trunk. It also grew larger quickly growing heads taller than the other ones. When it was done transforming the burn marks weren't even visible anymore. "Well we found it," stated Tagmer. "Now what?" "Well that was the last of my explosives," admitted Morris. "And I don't really have anything that can cut very deep into it. It looks like we're going to have to rely on your strength and your steel." "I don't have to remind you that this is a broadsword, not an axe," replied Tagmer. "Are you sure?" asked Morris. "I may have a bow as my main weapon, but I had a lot more stuff than that in my arsenal. That sword of yours doesn't look ordinary either." "You have a point," Tag said as looked it over. He gave the handle a twist and found the hilt detach from the rest of the sword. "Is this some sort of multi weapon or something?" "I think you're right," agreed Morris. "Make something you can use to chop that tree down. I'll buy you some time." As the tree approached them Morris taunted it with a few arrows, but they were only a minor annoyance. Meanwhile, Tagmer was hastily experimenting with his weapon finding it was more like a jigsaw puzzle. He manipulated it into a variety of weapons like a boomerang, spear, and a flail, but none of them were going to be effective against the tree. "Hurry up," called Morris. "I don't want to waste all my arrows on this thing." He had to keep moving quickly to avoid the tree creature's attacks, but suddenly he felt his cloak get snagged. When he turned to look it was some more roots that had pinned him. The tree then reached a hand out to grab him and crush his body, but Tagmer intercepted it duel wielding a pair of axes. With amazing speed and precision he unleashed a barrage of attacks at the tree's arm splintering it greatly. "You alright Morris?" he asked? "What took you so long?" he joked with a grin. "Were the instructions in French of something?" "A real man puts things together without any crutches," he declared. "Now if you'll excuse me. I need to give that tree a message." "What's that?" asked Morris sensing a cheesy moment coming on. "Timber!" Tagmer wailed as he charged at the tree with axes at the ready. Killajor found himself floating in a strange thick substance in a pitch black room. From the smell alone he was able to recognize it as cheese and from the fact he survived such a large fall meant it was very deep. It was all he could do to kick his legs and stay afloat with his new weight threatening to make him sink to the bottom; he was also very tempted to start gulping down the fondue even if it meant sealing his own fate faster. He didn't have to taste it to guess it was laced with some sort of fattening substance since he expected it at this point. The lights turned on as Obamon entered the basement her body already transforming into her more ferocious Abomon form. However, Kill didn't seem very fearful of her. She glared at him with an expectant look and let out a low growl. Kill just nodded and started eating. The cheese proved even more fattening than he anticipated as he felt his body expand exponentially faster as he binged. Anything he ate seemed to instantly turn to fat on his body keeping him hungry for more. An addictive quality in the cheese only made his gluttony peak as he kept devouring it with no end in sight. Pounds quickly added to tons as he became a whale of a rat, his blubber taking the shape of the container he was in. Even when he ran out of the cheese substance he continued licking his fat body for any of the residue covering him. He wasn't satisfied till he licked every finger clean and explored his countless fat folds. In the end he was a shapeless blob of fat the most obese thing in Obamon's home so far. Abomon looked over her next meal with extreme satisfaction. She imagined just what this meal would do to her body and couldn't wait to devour him. His recent binge made him the colossal blob of fat of her dreams, but he was also too fat for her to eat like she did with Snow. But she already accounted for that and it was the reason she chose to finish him in this manner. The vat that was once filled with cheese and now only contained several tons of rat fat had a hose attachment she placed in her mouth. She then turned it on and waited. Kill wasn't sure what she was planning, but suddenly he watched as his body started to melt and ooze like the cheese substance he had eaten. It was a little terrifying to see himself turn to goo, but he was also tempted to give himself a taste and found he was very delicious too and if he had been in her place he'd have eaten her too. He tasted himself for a while until even his mouth was melted beyond use anymore. Kill then flowed down the tube and directly into Abomon's maw as she reveled in another victory feeling her body grow. She felt her muscles bulge with strength and her teeth grow larger. She felt her tail grow longer and spikes grow on it and her head. She kept transforming as his physical form quickly integrated into her and once it was all over without a shred of sorrow for his sacrifice she marveled at her body relishing the thought of what more would do for her. "Who should I call for next?" she thought to herself. Tagmer assaulted the tree with all his strength. It tried to deter his onslaught with vines, roots, and branches, but he was able to chop anything it threw at him and get pack to cleaving its body apart. Still, the longer the battle drew on the more his muscles ached in pain. It was turning into a battle whether he could defeat the tree or if his strength would give out, but as the rammed the axe into the tree's body it let out a dying cry as the attack created a crack throughout its body until its top half got split from its bottom. It crashed to the floor and exploded in a cloud of purple smoke like the other enemies and just like them it caused both Tag and Morris to suddenly fatten up though it was a much larger growth than they experienced before. Tag felt his belt snap as his gut grew too big for it to restrain anymore and Morris’s own paunch was much too gargantuan to keep hidden under his cloak even if he tried to keep it covered. How they were only getting fatter and not losing their mobility was a question they could only connect to magic. As their growth ended a new path opened up for them to lead them out of the forest. "Well, I'm glad we're out of there," said Tag as his stomach grumbled. "And all that work has only made me hungry." "We're getting fatter the more we fight not to mention we're in a new world with possibly no way to get back home and all you can think of is food?" His stomach let out its own sizable rumble. "Maybe we'll find a town nearby where we can grab a bite to eat," Tag suggested. "And stores to get some gear," added Morris. "We'll need bigger clothes not to mention I need to resupply my gear." Tag nodded and the two ventured forward leaving the forest behind them. As Obamon reverted to normal, she released the energy that contained Killajor. She considered simply turning him into a cat like she did with Snow, but then she recalled how much he wanted to help her and grinned as an idea formed in her head. "Perhaps I could use him for something else," she said as she molded the energy like clay in her hands before placing it on the ground. As the light faded Killajor reformed, but it wasn't as a cat or his old self either. He stood there before as an extra plump skunk, though his loyalty to Obamon was unconditional as it was with all her previous meals. "What would you have me do?" he asked as he kneeled before her. "I want you to play with those two friends you made some more," she told him.
