The sun was setting and I was still at the comunity collage, staring at the black computer screen as it haunted me. I looked at my planner to see what I had to write about for the tenth time this past half hour. I sighed then stared at the screen once more, hoping the prompt would write itself and I could go home. “Hey, Molly!” Jenna said. Jenna was a black and white rabbit with stunning blue eyes. She was also in the same creative writing class I was in. Looks like she was done with the prompt early. She held her bad in one arm while the other held her library pass, ready to show the librarian, in her hand. “Oh, hey, Jenna. You finished early?” I asked and she nodded. “Yeah I was about to go to The Pit for dinner, want to come along?” She asked and the looked at my screen,”You know it’s not due for another three days. You still have time.” “Yeah but I am not a fan of last minute work...but I guess you’re right. I can always stare at a blank screen at home anyway.” I chuckled and turned off the school’s computer then got out my pass. “Yay! So happy you are joining me!” Jenna said, practically jumping up with joy. I stood up and grabbed my backpack. “Well then let’s go!” I said and we walk by the librarian's desk and showed our passes then head off to the Pit. The Pit was the school’s restaurant that also served for the classroom for culinary, edicate and business classes. It served good food. I had planned to take Proxy here when they had openings in edicate class so when I did take Proxy, I could take her on friday night. Friday night’s where when The Pit turned from a diner to a five star-ish restaurant and it became very fancy. Edicate would have just made everything more romantic. We got a table and ordered our drinks then looked at the menu. “So how is Proxy?” Jenna asked. “She’s alright. Been doing a lot better since she dropped AP Biology. The class was just too much and it was upsetting her.” “Ah well I bet with just Art and Physic she only has half days now right?” “Uh, yeah.” I said trying to stop the conversation as our waiter came and took our order. “So what do you think of the prompt?” Jenna said after a small moment of quiet. I shook my head and took my phone out to text Proxy. “It’s an odd one I’ll give you that. Can you hang on a moment. I want to see if Proxy want’s me to pick her up something.” She nodded then giggled shyly. “So...do you live with her?” “No. Not yet anyway. We are taking things as they come. I want to though so we both can save on rent.” “I see. Do you love her?” “I really like her though I wouldn’t say love. We have only been dating for a few weeks so I wouldn’t really say love. What about you, Jenna? Do you have anyone?” “Not really. I have my eye on someone but they hardly notice me. Sometimes I wonder what is it worth then I take a look at them and I just melt. Everything about them just makes me melt.” “I say go for it. The worst thing is that they said no and you move on to only find someone better.” “But what if there is no one better?” “Impossible.” I said and she smiled. The discussion was dropped and we moved on to small stuff like TV shows and what was happening in the news. Or waiter came and took our order and when our food came and we ate making small talk about classes. I looked at my phone to see if Proxy texted me back but only to find out my phone had died. She should be in bed by now and it’s too late for me to go over anyway so I decided to not pick her up something. I can always make it up later. After we ate I offered to pay for my meal but Jenna insisted. When I got Jenna to her car she seemed off. “You okay?” I asked and she nodded but she seemed a million miles away. “Yeah just thinking about what you said earlier about the person I had my eyes on and I am going to go for it!” Jenna leaned in and kissed me. I tried to pull away but she put her arms around me and forced me closer. I finally got my chance and pulled away then growled at her. “Jenna!” I said in disgust,” I’m with Proxy. Nothing is going to change that okay? So just stop!” “But Molly I love you! I always liked you and I never said anything and look at where it got me.” She said almost breaking into tears. “Jenna...don’t. Just keep your distance from me. Got it!?” I said then walked off. “When she leaves you, Molly, I’ll be right here! I swear one day it’s going to be you and me! I promise!” She yelled out. I just kept walking and without a response. I didn’t want to give in to her. I just wanted to get home. I found my car and drove in silence, thinking about why Jenna kissed me when she knew I was with Proxy. I was just so angry and my mind was going a thousand miles a minute. When I got home I turned on my laptop and opened my paper file. I started to stare at the prompt and the blank screen once again, except this time I wasn’t trying to figure out what to write about. this time I was trying to keep my mind off this evening. Off of Jenna.
