The cold wind blew against the windows making them creak and Proxy shake with fear. I petted her soft brown fur, trying to calm her down and to give her comfort. She flinched every time I touched her or if the wind blew harder than before which sadden me a little. From outside we could hear things blowing through the night, like leaves and litter, with the wind and every so often it would howl in the chimney, making Proxy’s ears twitch and go back. “You are such a scaredy cat!” I said gently and soft, all while trying not to giggle. “That’s not funny! The wind is scary at night..everything is scary at night.” She whimpered. I kissed the top of her head and held her to me with my tail hugging her from behind. She curled up against me and for a while it seemed like she was starting to calm down. Then it started to rain which made her a little more scared than before and she growl softly. “You’re my sweet scaredy cat” I said softly to not scare her and kissed the top of her head again. “Shut up, Molly, and hold me. I feel better in your arms.” She said and snuggled closer to me. We were sitting on the couch, before the storm picked up, watching a movie and having a nice warm pizza for dinner. It was the perfect small date. That is till the weather turned for the worst. It started off with a small wind but we both felt it would be getting worse. Proxy wanted to leave and go home early but I told her that I could stay up all night, if I had to, to keep her calm so she stayed. Good thing she did too. She doesn’t really do well in storms by herself. Even if it was just a little rain. I think the night just made everything worse for her. After a while our movie had ended and Proxy was getting calmer. Calm enough to go to sleep but knowing her she would even think about closing her eyes till the weather was calm for at least an hour. “Should we watch another movie, put on some music, or do you feel okay enough to go to sleep?” I asked and she shook her head. “No to the movie and sleeping. But I would like some music and…” Proxy trailed off. “And what?” I asked now really curious. She looked up at me and didn’t answer. She just kissed me. Her feline whiskers tickled my cheeks as her warm lips touched mine. I was a little surprised at first then I melted into the kiss and held her cheek. Her tail curled around mine and we swayed them softly. She put more passion into the kiss and I pulled her on my lap. She wrapped her legs around my waist a deepened the kiss. I was lost in her lips. The feeling I had for her were so new and so powerful. I loved my beautiful Proxy but I wouldn’t say it out loud. For now I’ll just get lost in her kisses and in her eyes. I’ll get lost in her. Little did she know she held heart. And very little did she know that she was my world. The wind howled loudly and it scared Proxy so much she let out a yelp and hid her head in my chest. I chuckled and rubbed her back to sooth her. She started to purr shortly after which made me feel better. I don’t like to see her so scared. But it was also kinda funny how she was scared over such a little thing. “I...I think I love you” Proxy said. My heart started to beat really fast. She loved me and there was really only one thing I could say back to her. “I think it’s time we try to get some sleep.” I said and she noded then snuggled into my fur. “Oh and Proxy?” I said and she looked up at me with her big beautiful eyes. “Yeah?” She said so sweetly. “I love you too.” I said and held on to her tightly. I loved Proxy and I finally got to say it. Who knew it took a storm and her saying it first for me to say it?
