The worldwide headquarters of Independent Entertainment and Dolphin Techcom are located on Mason Island (the two largest corporations on all of Kapernia). Formerly known as East Island, the island's name was changed in 1996 to pay tribute to the Mason family (founders/owners of Independent Entertainment). It is the only one of the three original islands to undergo such a name change. Major Cities... Lake City (Center Island Capitol): Home of Lakeland Manufacturing (the fifth largest corporation on Kapernia). Pittsburgh: Home to about 60% of all major manufacturing firms and factories on Center Island. Center City: Serves as a distribution center for the rest of Center Island. It is also home to major mining companies that produce more raw materials for the factories in Lake City and Pittsburgh, as well as parts and equipment for said factories. Comma Island Population: 92,117,501 (in 2015) Specializes in: Shipping, Food Processing Comma Island is the furthest north and east of all the UIC islands and serves as a key port to the far eastern islands of Kapernia. String Islands Population: 23,987,323 (in 2015) Specializes in: Tourism, Entertainment The String Islands consist of four main islands and several smaller uninhabited ones (not pictured in the map). The Arena Islands consist of two islands (Arena Island and Raposa Island...as the name would imply, Raposa Island is an island donated to the members of the raposa species who chose to live on Kapernia (aside from those in Familia) and is the home to Watersong.) Arena Island is the home of the Mega Sports Complex, which is owned and operated through a partnership between the Island Football League (think NFL), the Island Collegiate Basketball Association, Island League Baseball, Island League Basketball, and Independent Entertainment. Raposa Island is much simpler than Arena Island and is considered the more tourist friendly of the two, especially considering that the population of Raposa Island is only about 20,000 and most of them live in Watersong.
