*Thump* *Thump* *Thump* The sound of dragging started as the foot lifted away and the air became less stale. She was home now. My body as it always does decompressed to it's full form. She probably wouldn't have noticed anyways, I'm literally like a gel insole to her. This is all the better for me that her foot's gone, cause the thin layer above her boot's insole was dimensionally compressed matter that decompressed into a full living room and bedroom. This was my home, when I didn't serve her foot. The only reason I stay here is because of my natural invulnerability and gullibility for her feet. She's never caught me inside here once. This is as good a home as any. Come to think of it, if she did find me in here one day, what would I tell her? "Hi, Carmelita, I kinda lived in your boots the whole time?" No, too straight forward. I sorta did immediately take her old decommissioned boots and build a multi-layered house out of fabric... The thought didn't last long as I turned on my flat screen and 7.1 surround system in the toe area living room. I didn't have time to design a working bathroom in the boot, but that would just be weird. Speaking of that, I hear a distant hiss. She's in the shower... Nah, I'm smarter than that. I went back to the TV and played my favorite 8-bit inspired platformer: Angry TotalBiscuit Adventures. The noise isolation that the leather of the actual boot provides is very good! *crash!* What was that? I heard something crash on a distant counter... Unfortunately, her boot zipper wasn't open after she took them off so I'd have to climb the whole way just to get up there... No matter. It's worth the trek. Climbing to the top of the boot which was incredibly unstable, I got a peek at what the commotion was about. Well well well, I guess the design I leaked to Interpol worked! She actually shrunk Sly... and he still manages to break out. And is he seriously heading for the bathroom?!? Wow. I slid down the boot without buckling it's shape and just went back to my video games... and that's what I fixated on the entire night... zzzzzzzzzzz. *The next Morning* Like a roller coaster, I woke up in someone's blue gloves. I didn't know what to think cause I was groggily awaken. My eyes attempted to get a bearing and I found out Sly in his full size once again had found me. "You okay buddy? How long were you in there?" Sly said. I didn't know what I said first at the time, but checking back on my recordings, I said slurring like crazy "30fps is the corruption of mankind." Sly was confused, he got the shrink ray and was about to point it at me when I fully realized the situation. He found me in her boot, he's holding me in his blue gloves and he was about to permanently unshrink me! "NO NO NO NO NO! Stop! I can do that myself!" I said. I immediately imagined I was 5' 9'' and unshrunk without the aid of the ray gun in front of this eyes. "Wow, that's kinda cool." Sly reacted. "Yeah... Don't tell her about, where I was living, okay?" I sternly told Sly. Sly looked confused. "You live... in there?" He said. "Since she commissioned these for work, yes." I said. "So, you..." Sly was about to give his whole confusion spiel but I explained everything. "The difference between you and me is I can withstand her footfalls due to invulnerability." I said. "Oh... Well, don't tell anyone I did that to her." Sly said. She was but a speck on the bed, still sleeping, and I really didn't want to disturb her. I tend to think of myself as a BFG (Big Friendly Giant) when I'm bigger than someone. I froze there as he headed out the window and blue auraed his way to freedom. I've never had the opposite perspective. I wanted to put her in my shirt pocket but I was afraid if I patted her too hard... well.. she was vulnerable. I decided to leave her alone and return to her boot. URGH! But I couldn't leave her shrunken! I shrunk back into her loving boot and decompressed the living spaces once again. The emergency failsafe worked when Sly toppled the whole boot over. As I tried to get back to sleep back in the boot bedroom, I heard her voice. "COOPER!" she screamed. I was going to regret this choice. I needed to do something about the situation. TO BE CONTINUED? Story canon: Saatchi's "I Fought the Law and the Law Won" canon
