Chapter 48 - High Flying Roller Coaster Ride!


Throughout the night, several staff members tried tending to Chris, only for Gardevoir to scare them off
for the most part asides those who came in to check on the devices connected to him. Once the morning came,
Gerald finally returned to take the two into the city once more, only to walk into the room and find the
two Pokemon laying all over Chris, with the poor guy looking back at Gerald as if he didn't have much life
left in him, with his face now pale and dark bags under his eyes from a night without sleep. "Hey... Er...
Morning... Ha... Ha ha..." he told Gerald with a groan as gardevoir lay with an arm and leg over him, her
cheek against his as she drooled on his face. "M... My word dear boy..." he responded, looking at how badly
dressed he was on top of looking like a living corpse. "H... Ha ha... Couldn't sleep..." he told Gerald,
glancing towards the two Pokemon, with Servine laying on his torso with her head popped out from the sheets,
drooling on his chest as she lay with her underside in the air, giving it a random scratch. "W... Well...
These two certainly slept just fine it would seem... Albeit at your expense... Perhaps today I might try
persuading the two to get a nearby room to stay in?" he asked, Chris shaking his head in response. "No...
Trust me, that would only irritate them, especially Gardevoir... I'll just get some sleep while they're out
in the city..." he lauged nervously, groaning due to the crick in his neck from having Gardevoir against the
side of his face half the night. Smiling with a bit of sweat on his face, gerald walked up and nudged the
two Pokemon, making them groan and rub their eyes before sitting up while stretching. "G... Good morning
ladies! I'm here to take you into the city once more. Should you wish to go that is." he told the two as they
both faced different directions in a daze, the both of them yawning before Servine crawled out from the
sheets and looked at Chris, suddenly falling back with a shout in surprise as she saw his zombified look.
"G... Good morning to you too..." Chris responded with a nervous smile as she stood and rubbed her eyes,
giving him a second look before letting out a "blech..." noise, shaking her head and jumping off the bed
as Gardevoir flopped back down, cuddling against Chris with a sigh.


"My my... It never changes..." Gerald chuckled as Servine looked up at him and nodded, giving him a silent
greeting before walking past and heading into the bathroom to use the sink. "Good mooooorning Chris... I
sleep so good with you..." Gardevoir giggled, suddenly trying to kiss him causing Chris to pull himself away as
best he could. "S... Stop that!! Gerald is here for crying out loud!!" he responded, causing the old man
to laugh loudly, making Gardevoir shoot up with a gasp, blushing brightly. "You not see that!! Nothing
happen here!!" Gardevoir shout, trying to point at Gerald only to aim in the wrong direction. With a chuckle,
he walked up and tapped her on the shoulder, holding her hand before bowing. "A very good morning to you
madam. Terribly sorry for surprising you." he told her, causing Gardevoir to face away in embarrassment as
Chris let out a sigh of relief, not ready physically nor mentally for more attention from her. "Y... Yes...
Good morning..." she told him before pulling her hand away and climbing out of the bed, suddenly stumbling
over before being caught by Gerald. "You must be more cautious madam..." he reminded her before Gardevoir
pulled away and crossed her arms, turning away still in a state of embarrassment. "Oh dear... I truly had no
intention of causing any trouble. Inviting myself in was rather rude I suppose." he told the two, rubbing
the back of his head before bowing and apologising. "N... No no!! Its fine!!" Chris responded nervously,
growling at Gardevoir and sending a firm thought her way, causing the Pokemon to jolt and quickly turn,
bowing towards Gerald as Chris nodded. "That's more like it... Never forget to show elders respect, you hear?"
Chris told her firmly, Gardevoir standing straight and poking her fingers with a guilty look. "Y... Yes...
Sorry about that... Was just surprised at awkward time..." she responded. "Oh... N... No no madam!! Its
quite alright!" Gerald told her, waving his hands as Chris looked at her face and let out a sigh. "Ahh...
Never mind... I just need some sleep is all... Forget about it Gardevoir..." Chris told her.


After a moment, Servine came out of the bathroom with a cloth in her hand, wiping her face off with a sigh.
"Oh ho? Already prepared yourself for the day eh?" Gerald asked, Servine nodding with a "naturally" sound.
"Well then... If its quite alright, I wouldn't mind helping your Gardevoir freshen up as well!" Gerald offered,
causing Gardevoir to blush as Chris nodded. Taking her hand, Gerald guided her to the sink as Gardevoir faced
back towards Chris with a worried look before going into the bathroom, stopping at the sink as Gerald found
another cloth and wet it. Once lathered properly, he started helping her clean off her face, causing Gardevoir
to let out a loud "Oh!!" sound once she knew what he intended, giggling as he helped her wash her hands as
well. "This reminds me of when my daughter was a little girl... Every day either my wife or I would help her
clean up for the day ahead. Lovely memories." he chuckled. Watching the two, Chris smiled for a moment before
facing down at himself, suddenly showing a sad look and letting out a sigh. Seeing this, Servine sighed and
shook her head, getting back on the bed and rubbing him on the head. Speaking to him in her Pokemon tongue,
Servine gave him a thumbs up, seemingly telling him "You'll be up soon enough" as she smirked. Blinking at her,
Chris chuckled and thanked Servine, causing the Pokemon to blush slightly and face away, waving her hand with
a "yeah yeah..." noise as she smiled, jumping back off the bed as the two walked out of the bathroom. "All
finished master Chris! How does the young madam look?" he asked, backing away from Gardevoir as she stood with
a glow about her face. Going wide eyed, Chris subconsciously responded "C... cute..." causing Gardevoir to
jolt and flush brightly, smiling ear to ear as Servine scowled and crossed her arms, shouting out of the fact
she did the same thing by herself without a compliment. Blinking at her, Chris faced away embarrassed. "Y...
Yeah yeah... Both of you... Look good and all..." he muttered, Gerald looking at the three and smiling. "What
a wonderful family..." he chuckled, causing the three to face him silently for a moment before they each smiled.



"So... Where do you have in mind as far as taking them out and keeping them busy today?" Chris asked, causing
Gerald to grin. "To the amusement park of course!" he chuckled, causing the two Pokemon to tilt their heads
confused as Chris blinked. "Amusement park...? Huh... Not a bad idea... Had no idea this city had one... Then
again, I have no idea about anything in this city..." he smiled nervously. "All in due time lad! You'll be
out of here in no time and these two will be able to show you everything they've learned!" he smiled, the two
Pokemon nodding in agreement. "Well... Alright then. I don't see any harm in going to one. Just make sure you
two behave!" he reminded, both Pokemon giving a thumbs up. "I be good! Servine probably be pain though... She
never stay still... Act like child..." Gardevoir responded, causing Servine to gasp from the insult and yell
at her. "And there's the other side of the relationship..." Gerald laughed as Chris sighed and shook his head.
Once ready to go, Gardevoir and Servine gave Chris another hug, waving goodbye before letting Gerald lead them
out of the room. Once the door was closed, Chris let out a relieved sigh, groaning as he shut his eyes. "Man...
Finally..." he muttered as he allowed himself to relax. Unfortunately... Once the staff saw his Pokemon leaving
down the hall, they quickly gathered supplies and went into his room, and next thing the three knew, they heard
Chris shout loudly, saying "OH COME ON!!!" as they walked away, causing Gardevoir to freeze and turn around with
a worried look. "No no... He's fine I assure you..." Gerald laughed nervously, holding onto her arm. Biting her
lip nervously, Gardevoir slowly turned back around, still facing back as they continued walking away. Gerald didn't
have it in him to tell Gardevoir he was frustrated from not being able to rest with her and Servine in there, so
he simply reassured her he would be fine instead, coaxing her into leaving the hospital with Servine and himself
so Chris could get some much needed rest during their absense.
